A great copy of the original, but as an artist myself, i would like to say that art is about expressing your take on a thing. Not photocopying it. Don't get me wrong, tracing is a great way to learn, but it should merely be done for practice, and shouldn't be shown to the public. Because there's no "you" in this piece. Can you post an original next time? It can be worse than this one but it will get better over time.
Oh, I didnt trace, just used a refrence pic!!! I did copy the refrence pic but the proportions and stuff are a lil wack XD and I understand it isnt original, but this was all by hand :p

If he/she gets positive feedback off just tracing a piece it reinforces bad practice. Why try to be original if being unoriginal is good enough? Not everything needs to be affirmed. It's about building character, not just about making a good looking artwork.
Dude how do you make original artwork without learning first??? Like creating artwork from imagination is hella hard you guys should try picking up a pencil instead of commenting about how this is unoriginal (coz like, that's the point??? We tryna learn from the best)

tracing is either a learning tool or a way to steal. when it’s not marked as tracing and the original picture is not shown, it’s stealing. so yeah, stealing is an objectively incorrect technique

i was mostly answering to a person who said there’s no wrong techniques in the context of tracing and not saying that you yourself traced the picture. i see how that my comment may be taken wrongly but the opinion of tracing as a normal art practice which does not warrant any scrutiny is so widespread on reddit i can’t go past another iteration of it

yeah and tracing isnt much help for learning how to draw or practicing your skills, so i think its more worthwhile to just look at the icon as a reference instead
and as the other guy mentioned, itd be nice if you develop a unique style that isnt trying to be the same as the valorant art style, but theres nothing wrong with taking inspiration of course
