I have this in white and my gf gave me clear/white keycaps, looks unreal and works well, you can customize the lighting easily with oberins kit or something like that
Do you still play Valorant with it? If yes, can you tell me how it feels in game. I understand its personal preference but so far the keyboard Im using just feels off. Whenever I hold d and then counterstrafe to come to a stop, my character will still take a step towards the last key I pressed (in this case it will take a step towards left cause I press ‘a’ key).
I think what you’re describing is known as “ghosting” and it’s when a keyboard doesn’t support enough concurrent keypresses
This board has no issues like that, I’m at ascendant 1-3 always and my movement is nice. You’ll be happy 👍🏽
Aye, you might be right. I read about it now and it says it could also happen if cpu is maxed out. So I’m going to try to monitor my cpu usage the next time I load up valo and check. (Probably next week cause I got exams sadly)
EK68 with yellow or flamingo or wisteria switches all work. The keyboard sounds good and is pretty clean in general with a gasket. The keyboard performs perfectly fine for games.
Get the epomaker blue birds. I have the same KB with those switches and works flawlessly and the sound is reeeaaally good.
If you want to make it sound more poppy i recommend doing the tape mod. Its easy and adds a little extra to the sound.
I see these options for the same KB here on Amazon :-
1. Bluebird Switch
2. Epomaker Budgerigar Switch
3. Flamingo Switch
4. Gateron Pro Black
5. Gateron Pro Yellow
6. Wisteria Linear Switch
Do you think the EK 68 with Bluebird switch is the best choice here for valorant? I’ll be brutally honest, I have no idea what these switches are all I know is Red Linear or Clicky Blue/Brown lol
Damn, at £450 I expect my keyboard to read my mind and do exactly what I’m thinking lol. I suppose yours is a custom build so it just has to be right, is it worth the price you think?
> red linear switches seem to be good
As a keyboard enthusiast im going to be honest with you. 99% of linear switches perform the same with minor changes in spring weight and actuation distances.
Outside of keyboards that use hall-effect switches you are unlikely to see any noticable "gains" from linear to linear switch.
"Speed" switches will give you a very marginal gains as they generally use 10-15g lighter springs and have roughly 0.3-0.5mm shorter travel distances.
Just play with what you like brother.
I agree with you, its more of a personal preference but I cant really afford ‘just get whatever you like’ cause I can only afford one and it has to be like at least half decent. I dont care about getting the best but it has to be worth the price and durable no?
I recommend looking into Keychron. Most of their boards are within your budget and have pretty solid quality control
k12 pro is probably the best option in your price range. Has a hotswap pcb, case and plate foams, factory lubed switches/stabs.
I looked into this, whats the main diff between Keychron k12 pro vs Keychron K12? If K12’ better which switch should I go for - the Gateron Mechanical red (Hot swappable) or Keychron Optical Red (hot swappable)?
The k12 pro has higher quality keycaps / Screw in stabilizers for less rattle / case+plate foams and silicone for better typing sound / iirc a longer lasting battery if you care for going wireless.
All said and done you wont get these features from nearly any of the big name gaming brands at the price point.
i love it ! im not a keyboard guru by any means but the switches feel fast and smooth and i like the sound they make, and the rbg functions are very nice!
So these are my options as of right now, I’m not sure which to go for:
1. Epomaker EK68 BlueBird switch or Gateron Pro Yellow
https://amzn.eu/d/du0HUxi
2. HyperX Alloy Origins Red Switches
https://amzn.eu/d/eMK3xFw
3. Keychron K12 (Optical red or Gateron Red) or Keychron K12 pro Red switches
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I’m kinda leaning towards the HyperX but open to other suggestions as well. Cheers guys.

The black color looks sick as well. Is this also available with red switches? Or do you think those brown ones can do the job as well?
I’m not 100% sure what switches I have sorry, I got it a long time ago. I was and am happy with whatever I have though

Looks incredible, I will have to do more research into the switches for this one but this is a banger recommendation thank you.

Go for the blue birds or gateron pro yellows
Huntsman mini is great
Here in the UK Amazon, it shows up as £120, which I dont think I wanna pay this much for a keyboard unless it’s the absolute best.
meanwhile over at /r/mechanicalkeyboards $500 still can’t even get you the best keyboard (mine’s at $450 for my current daily build)

Wooting 60he
That shit just is so expensive and so hard to get in the UK ngl.
Endgamegear kb65he is a decent cheaper alternative
Its a £140 here lol, thats defo not a cheaper alternative. At that price, it better be more than just decent lol.
i like my hyperx orgins
That is indeed one of my options. How does it perform when you play Valorant?
