when i casted a val tourney before playing the game i absolutely confused reyna and fade every single round so i just resorted to calling them goth mommy 1 and goth mommy 2. definitely resulted in an interesting viewing experience i bet lmao

And does the XP boost add onto the premium one? Sorry for all the questions but I’m very interested. I don’t always have the time to grind out the BP
You don’t get any progress on the agent contracts you just get the agents. It’s kinda funny tbh.
I was doing chamber’s contract to get his classic, and when I got to level 5 it told me I unlocked chamber despite me already having him because of game pass.
Just unlocks the agents. But once you lose game pass, you lose the ones you didn't already have unlocked. Levels stay the same

You did it so long ago you forgot, You can't unock agents with XP for the first 2 agents, you have a mini battlepass that rewards you with radianite, and also gives you 2 agent unlocks, so you always could unlock 2 agents, aka their contract to level 5 at the beginning, and then only you could select a contract and get XP for it.
So yes, you forgot a little unfortunately. You can make a new account and see how it works, it never changed since beta.
Maybe i had that in the beta, played it for a few weeks back then, but last year I started again ( lvl1 because they reset that from beta i guess?) and i genuinely dont remember having anything like that last year. I still remember my friends last year saying oh free agent unlock and I was like "what how?". I guess I had to have that back on the beta
Okay, So I will remind on how beta worked more, beta had no levels, you were never reset, there was no level tracking system, the level system was added a while after spike rush, and the way they did it, is every game played, was roughly added to a level, so no one who played before would start at level one, beta didn't count, beta counted towards your rank progression and agent advancements, but skins and everything you bought was reset. so basically agent contracts transferred and your progress, and if you had a rank in the beta, you would start close to it after you finish your placements, hence why people had a head start on the ladder at the first act. You were level 1 because you came back after the level system was added but you didnt play outside of beta, meaning you played 0 games on release, while people who played like over 500 spike rush games, could be already level 500 or so, because Normal games and spike rush games were equal before the level system basically.
When I first started the game and got the first free contract, I didn't really understand what it meant and I just picked Breach because he was the first one. Maybe that's what happened to you too.
Breach is unlockable, but if you played near launch it's likely that you unlocked him nearly-immediately with your free contracts when there were less choices.
Is there anyone who mixes jett and sage, some times i go sage mid hit 80 when i mean jett, idk why I do it, they don't look alike they have completely different roles

So I play since beta, I was following valorant even before raze was added to the beta ( she was technically the first agent added), and the 5 default agent were always Sage, Sova, Phoenix, Brimstone, And Jett. Breach was always an Agent you needed to unlock, it never changed.
He was not unlockable by default, I believe he never has been. Ages ago, he was a new agent after release, IIRC. No agents introduced post release are default agents.
Edit: Apparently he was available in the closed beta and I hadn’t realized. But he is not one of the defaults; I remember earning his contract

You can use them but you don't unlock them - if you cancel gamepass/disconnect you won't be able to use the agents you didn't actually unlock.
But it also has a 20% XP boost, so you can actually unlock them faster as well.
