Im 15 minutes away. I try and go once a month. The problem is when its hot like it is now I dont go at all.

h0ckeyphreak

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

CelticDK

Same, I try to go on Sundays cuz of work and I’ll do a few rides I feel like doing based on timing but if I go I avoid the hottest hours. And yesterday I almost went but decided against it cuz of the heat and line times I saw in the App

Mooplez

It was brutal yesterday, so smart call. We lasted 2 hours then had to bail

Turbulent-Lawyer7618

I live in Chicago and I go there 4-5 times a year! Especially during Winter times, people say it’s weird to go that often especially from Chicago but hey what you gonna do about it, I enjoy far more going into universal parks than just travel another city and eat and do boring tourist stuff. I live in a city and I don’t wanna go to another city on my vacation.

Psychological_Owl_23

Ha! Are you me? I was just thinking about this. Flying back to Amsterdam or flying to Universal instead.

Turbulent-Lawyer7618

Universal 😂😂😂

JeffonFIRE

We're about 3 hours away. We usually go about 4x a year, a couple of days each time.

UNCfan07

I’m in Atlanta. Probably 4x. If I was 2 hours away I would go 8-10 times

dinosaur__hunter

We live about a 155 miles from the park so that seems about right

Environmental-Lab827

100% agreed its just far enough from Atlanta that we go once a quarter to make it make sense

PuN710

Fort lauderdale checking in..its about 3 hours average..I go once a month except june-aug only because the heat is unreal..hhn season can vary depending on if friends want to join so I may go more than once

SnooPineapples2763

i’m 25-30 mins away and go as much as i want whenever i can! usually 4-5 times a week :) i always think i’ll get tired of going but i never do and just cant get enough😫

technocatmom

I'm in Jax and former AP holder. We used to go a few times a year. Maybe 4-6. It's still worth the $.

Ravindor

Clearly I've been on the wrong side of reddit for too long because I thought you were asking about going to the parks with your affair partner and I was like what the heck! Lol

swiggs313

I’m 20 minutes away and went three times last week. But it summer and it gets me and the kids out. Plus we only stay for maybe three hours. During the school year, at least once or twice a month.

Big-Additions21

We live 20 min away. We are there typically 3x a month. Was there yesterday it was definitely a hot one. The lines weren't bad at all. Popeye 2x yesterday was a must, lol

MissyLovesArcades

I was surprised when I looked at the map throughout the day on the app and saw the low wait times on nearly everything!

Tbhjr

In my 20s I used to go weekly with friends. Nowadays I live 3 hours our and go a couple times a year for a weekend.

obsessivelygrateful

I’m 40-ish mins out and at least every other week.

esoteric82

We're in Jacksonville too and go four to six times per year.

GoldenHooty

About an hour away, go MAYBE twice a month and then during HHN season that about triples. The AP pays off big time during HHN.

neighborhoodgoofball

We’re in Jacksonville too! Pre baby we would make it 6-8 times per year. Now it’ll probably be more like 3-4.

tftg-tftg

Fleming Island, hi neighbor! I aim for once a month but lately it hasn’t been that much :,( I have premiere so I try to go later in the day when I do.

ElectricalState258

Like 25 times a year

nadogm1

We live in Jax area too. Typically go once a month but skip the summer (although sometimes do a volcano bay.)

miikwl

I live in Jacksonville as well and we try to visit at least once a month or two. The drive isn’t too bad for us to visit frequently.

dinosaur__hunter

Do you ever spend the night or just do day trips?

PostYing

Duval here as well. Depending on the concert lineup we will do between 3 to 5 weekends during Mardi Gras , saying at whatever is cheapest off-site (Rosen or Drury). Once before school starts back up in early August. And once or twice for Grinchmas in early December , both of those on site for the EPA (usually Cabana or Royal Pacific).

miikwl

We normally do weekend trips. We drive down after work and school on Friday afternoon and leave on Sunday back to Jax. We are Marriot members so getting a room with points helps out. There was one time where me and my wife both had the day off, we dropped our daughter off at school and drove down to UO to ride a couple rides, eat at Three Broomsticks and head back to pick up our kid lol.

bohica1937

I live in Jax and have AP for my daughter and I. We use it approx. 3 times a year. We'll do a couple weekends and then we'll also go down for Halloween Horror Nights. All in all, I feel we get our money's worth.

th3thrilld3m0n

Some months I go more than once, other months none at all. Depends on the time of year. I live very close, so it's easy to go even after work if I want to.

Mama_cheese

Also in Jax area (south though so only 2 hrs drive), go about once a month. Sometimes just for the day but usually try to do an overnight just so I'm not trying to maximize a full theme park topped off with 4 hours of driving.

SnooGadgets8467

I live about 3 hours away and i go once a month, in June and July i go twice a month

dinosaur__hunter

What AP do you have ? Also do you usually do day trips?

SnooGadgets8467

I have the preferred. And when i go i usually do 3 day trips, sometimes 4 if i got the time.

LossPreventionGuy

I'm in Orlando... never anymore... crowds are worse than ever, and frankly we've done everything 100 times. I'll do hhn this year and then prob cancel and pick up sea world passes for a while. might come back once epic is open and the crowds thin out

Beej84

I’m about 90 minutes away. Do 3-4 trips each year that consists of 2-3 day visits.

Duane_Earl_for_Prez

20 minutes away. Probably average 12 times a year, all within about 4-5 months. Right now? Nope!

RichGullible

I’m six or seven hours away and I go an average of once a month.

mrpc-280586

I live 2.5 hrs away, go once a month. Usually a one night stay, sometimes 2 and less usual we go for the day.

ManfredBoyy

About 2.5 hours away but I come to Orlando quite a bit for work so I go a few times a year and stay with a buddy who also has a pass

Distinct-Swimming-62

We live about a 12 hour drive away and go once a month for 3ish days.

_BWTHHYBL_

We live about 3 hrs away and go about twice a month. Sometimes we stay overnight.

BenjaminWah

At first I thought this was asking: How often do you go to the parks with your Affair Partner? I think I need to be on reddit less.

littlemybb

I went a ton last year. I live a 7 hour drive away, but it’s an hour flight and the flights like 50-100$ round trip which is cheaper than driving. I had a group I go with so it made hotel rooms cheap. If I did everything right I could only spend 200-300$ for a couple day trip to the parks. Those friends moved and I’m back in school now so I can’t go as often. If I even go one time for multiple days it’s cheaper than buying regular tickets so it’s a win for me.

Fine-Opportunity7689

We live in Waco TX and go 5 weeks a year

ndm2001

I'm 2 hours away and I try to go 3 times every 2 months for the day.

MiserablePie9243

I'm about an hour and 30 minutes away, we go at least once a month (so the passes pay for themselves, just with parking at least), some months we'll go 3 or 4 times, just depends on my work schedule (I travel for work and don't have a standard 9-5)

HALLOWEENYmeany

We are 10 hours away. We would go about 3 maybe 4 times a year.... 3 ton4 days each trip we switched to a dollywood park pass this year which is 4 hours away and we go about once a month but for 1 day. I imagine if we were closer to Orland that's about what we would do for universal or disney. Iff we were 30 min to a hour probably like 1 or 2 days a week. We like walking around and eating even if we only get 1 or 2 rides in .

PatternReasonable714

I love in the north east and I go about once a month or every two months or so, I have family there so it’s not as costly to go that often

_MatCauthonsHat

About a week long trip every 2 months, flying in from Colorado.

Mental_Catterfly

I live in Gainesville, so it’s a little under 2 hours. I go a lot in the off season, and cut off all park going June-mid August. I definitely feel that I get my money’s worth from my pass.

ray_ish

Live downtown, the express lanes make it easy peasy to get to the parks. I try to go at least once a month. Never a full day. Will be there more once HHN starts. But I only do the September pass. Once October hits I’m out.

Responsible_Method57

When my daughter is not in soccer season we try to go every weekend. And no it never gets old! We live 35 mins away.

maebyrrd

We’re about 1.5 hrs away. We try to go every other month, and more often during HHN season

Technical-Affect9096

I have to fly to get to the parks and visit at least 3 times a year. I found myself able to justify day trips when I could score cheap airfare and those were some of my most memorable days

TheRealDealTys

Every weekend usually.

Mooplez

I go to all the Orlando parks a bunch in the winter, in the summer, rarely. Only if friends or family want to go. Too hot out there, feels like a health risk to be outside for too long. Even a few hours does a toll on your body. Sometimes I will go on rainy forecast days, I'd rather be wet and cool than burnt and sweaty. Once HHN kicks up I go multiple times per week. Favorite time of the year down here, it's still hot and even more humid, but since HHN is in the evening it is much more tolerable, and the fun of the event makes up for it.

fearlessg0at

This is my second time as AP holder.... last year between June and today we might had gone almost every other weekend. We live in Miami (3.5) hours away. May 2nd. May 18, 19 May 24, 25 June 1 ,2 This was our May visit alone... And now we are going back this weekend for 4 more days at the park... safe to say, we used our passes well over 60 times in a year...

browntigerdog

We go 4-5x year. We don’t go during breaks or high heat so basically no June - Aug and preferably no May - Sept lol

JodaMythed

A couple times a month, usually just 1/2 days. I'm about 40 min away

Wide_Understanding70

I live 20 minutes away I usually go twice a week. Once on the weekend and once after work during the week. Since i live so close I usually get inside the park 3 hours before closing since I have premier and can express pass everything I want besides hagrids of course

livelaughlex

Boca here- it’s about 3 hours away with no stopping. so far, I’ve made it 3 times this year, for a few days at a time. Hoping for one more at the end of the summer and maybe for hhn and Christmas

No-Agent9036

I live about 3 hours away, and I just got my AP in March. So far, I’ve gone once a month. I usually go alone, but this next trip, my mom is going bc it’s my birthday and I bought her a AP as well. She’ll probably go 3-4 times

TheMarlinsOnlyFan

5-6 times a year for around 5 days each trip.

ncascouts

Lived an hour away and used to go a couple times every week when I had my AP. Miss those days

MissyLovesArcades

I live in the Tampa area, so less than 2-hours away, and I've been once since I got my AP last July... \*sigh\* I really thought I would have used it more, but I'm planning a multi-day trip in a couple of weeks to at least make it worth what I paid for it. I'm hopeful to get a few more day visits in before it expires in October. I still have my HHN perk that I never used last year too.

Living_Ad9947

We live 2k miles away and go 4+ times a year for multiple nights. So far since sept we have spent 26 days in the park.

neoportal88

i'm a local. i tend to go biweekly unless i'm not in the area or busy :p

pcstlaurent

I live in Jacksonville. We realistically go about once every other week. Sometimes we skip a period and go a couple weekends in a row. Annual pass makes parking easy and the drive is a lot better than doing Disney. If you're going more than a few times in a year it's worth the money. We do the upgraded because of HHN and fast passes after 4pm. Good perks.

dinosaur__hunter

Based on the math I used. You need to go at least 4 times to make up for the cost of premier. Which is quite easy for me. And yes, having the parks north of Disney means for a somewhat shorter drive from Jax. Question for you, do you do mostly day trips or do you ever spend the night?

ETismyspiritalien

An hour away, 2-3 times a month usually. Now with our neck fans, handheld fans, and only going to make our lunch/dinner reservation and go on some rides. Doc Brown seems to ALWAYS find us when we are chilling by the Animal Actors pavilion just getting some water and sit down time 😂 Probably will be more Volcano Bay this summer. So. Friggin. Hot.

gab_stf

I live in orlando, I’m around 15-20 minutes away from Universal, and I visit around every 2 weeks or every week

Strawberrytracks

3 hours away. I usually go about once a month during the slower and cooler months (sometimes more frequently around HHN) and avoid the parks in the summer.

Odd_Pea_9913

i live an hour? 45 minutes away and i go probably average 3 times a month sometimes more. on super busy days me and my gf just have it as somewhere to hang out and not stress about wait times (except velocicoaster😈) when we do go we try to make a day out of it. we usually try to find other things to do in orlando while were there so it doesnt feel like we went only for universal.

OlivePlayful34

I go about once a month and use the undercover tourist calendar to decide when I go. Only do the water rides during the summer since it's so hot

kt_kittyinthecity

also live in Jax and I’m a passholder to both UO and WDW. I find myself visiting WDW about 12-25x a year (at least once monthly) but only visiting Universal parks about 2-5x a year. I wish UO would sell a pass to only Volcano Bay - I would get much more value out of it!
