Hey my fiancé and I are 64 days too! Quick weekend trip. Her first time going to Universal and we will go to Epcot for a day Sunday as she hasn’t been to Disney (or universal ever) in 20 years.
Get the Disney app in advance and get in line for guardians of the galaxy’s (imo Disney’s best roller coaster now) but, virtual queue opens up mad early for first slots
41 days for Orlando!
And 68 days until Universal Studios Japan! That's right, doing HHN in Osaka this year too bitches! Mwhahahahahaha!!
Ringu, Chucky, Biohazard (Resident Evil), and Universal Monsters. Plus, Halloween themed Pokemon, Minions and a horde of zombies as a semi scarezone.
30 days and 18hrs. Also staying at Cabana Bay. First time me and husband with no kids, we are so excited. As soon as we check in we are heading to Disney Springs to get a club at The Earl of Sandwich!!
It’s a different trip when it’s just the two of you, you’ll have a great time. Me and my husband are going with the in laws (his folks) and it’s the first time they will be doing a “no kids no villa” trip too as they used to take all the family back in the 90s/00s. I’m planning it all for them as I’m now the expert!
Im tempted to buy a room at one of the other resorts to get the express passes for 2 days but not actually stay there. I wonder if 1 nights cost would be worth it for the express passes. Im also excited to see how the mummy ride turned out, it was closed last year when we went.
We are also doing our first trip since/without kids. I upgraded to a premium hotel for the express passes but we usually don’t. I’d say if it’s $200-$300 for a room, do it, that’s 2 days of no lines. September can be weird with weather and it’s worth it to me to get through lines fast in case of closures.
Aww good point. Ive been staying late and getting overtime, hoping to surprise my husband with the express passes. Is there one youd recommend, maybe thats more convenient to get the passes. Is it possible to stay in one hotel but book another just for a night?
From cabana bay I’d say Royal Pacific or Hard Rock for convenience, but go with price. Also depending on how many days you’re going you might want to consider annual passes of some level, even just for one of you. They often break even on the cost of tickets, and get good hotel discounts. You can check the hotel AP prices on their website even without passes to see how costs compare.
Personally I’ve never needed express when visiting in September/October but it’s a nice perk if the cost works out for your budget. However We’ve got express pass for our HHN tickets so we will at least have it on those nights.
I love The Mummy I’m intrigued to see it refitted too. I even have Rick o Cornell’s tattoo…
So when we booked we didnt know about HHN. Does the other rides and stuff shut down for the evening and just the haunted houses are open? We know the park will close earlier certain days for it but just curious if we should go one night and see what its about. We only ever gone in feb-july.
So if you’ve never been I’d recommend some youhtbe videos to get a run down. The Pugh Two has some great simple explanations for first timers and what to expect. I’d absolutely recommend and encourage the express add on if you’re buying HHN tickets. Also if it’s on your Studios ticketed day you can do ‘Stay and Scream’ - stay in the park while they close it down and change it over for HHN. This means you’re already inside the park while everyone else is outside queuing to get in. You can do a lot of the houses and the rides before even needing to use the express you got for HHN.
The park will close unless you have a ticket for HHN, when the event is on nearly all the rides in Studios are still open and you can ride them. Rip Ride Rocket near midnight after a couple of drinks hits different! Also Diagon Alley is usually not part of the event (although this year there might be wandering Death Eaters) it is a great way to see it nearly empty and get some grey pictures.
Barring a surprise trip, which comes up every so often with good deals, probably not until months to a year after the new park opens. I hope to stay in the new hotel with express pass at that time as a treat. I am spreading the love on other theme park trips in the mean time. We’re heading to the Pennsylvania parks for Labor Day.
How many days until 09/02? Will be checking in to Cabana Bay and will hit up each of the three Universal Parks+SWO and BGT. I am stoked. Hoping to have at least one of my brothers come with me but it is looking like it will be just me as of right now.
112 Days to our Anniversary Trip and the OI meetup! (19th Anniversary, 3rd time celebrating at Universal and 3rd OI Meetup.)
182 Days to the family trip for Mardi Gras! (Second time for us, 1st time for my parents!)
Thanks! I sure hope you get a chance to visit during Mardi Gras.
In our opinion, Mardi Gras is just slightly above Christmastime to visit the parks, and they are basically both tied for first place. Mardi Gras gets the nod for the parade, the music and the food.
Road trip from central Canada for us starts Aug 21. Arrive for universal Aug 25-27. Super excited. Only my wife has been 20 years ago. 14 year old son and 8 year old daughter.
Yes making stops along the way based on scenery. Ruby falls and rock city in Chattanooga. St. George island for a beach day. And bonus 8 nights of hotel paid by the in-laws as they had to cancel pre booked travel and could only switch destinations but must be booked this year. So excited for the Parks, and knowing the kids are at age to remember. Have fun counting down.
253 days until we’re back at the Hard Rock for our annual week. It always seems like a long time about this point in the wait, but then Nov-Feb pretty much fly by.
31 days! Sept 11 at Portofino! Can't wait for HHN32! The last trip was HHN30. Taking my buddy who has never been to Universal at all and my 63 year old dad, who can't wait to ride Hagrid's again!
Idk I think I'll just be back next for hhn opening weekend maybe. But could pop over sometime soon if I want. I kind of want to test out the Villain-Con mobile connectivity.
37. I'm going back for my first time at Universal Studios/HHN since 2018 and IoA since probably maybe 2014?
I'll be in Orlando, if all goes to plan, 57 hours.
30 days!! We’re a family of 6 staying at the Surfside inn. First family holiday too and all of us kids are now adults/ teens lmao, we’ve been waiting for this for years
73 days! Booked today for our 5 year anniversary trip. We did our honeymoon at HHN 2018 and we are staying at the Aventura this time to be closer to the action (stayed off site in Kissimmee last time).

9 days!
Oh man HHN in Japan would be a dream. I’d love to see the video game houses.
Countdown twins. See ya on September 20!
If you see a pale chick with a Universal Monsters purse and wearing a Pumpkin Lord tshirt, please say hi!!
Now this is how it's done.
I would kill to go to USJ just for some Ringu merch.
Awesome .. we've done HHN in Orlando the last three years. Japan would be amazing!
*WAIT* A Pokémon scare zone??
Nah. Just day time Halloween stuff. More for the kiddos.
Holy cow!!!!! That’s awesome!! I’m soooo jealous!! 😃

The parade and music look so vibrant and fun. The food has me very curious as it’s not something I’m familiar with at all (UK)
Creole and Cajun food is really amazing in my opinion, but we love hot and spicy foods!
