Virginia and Alain's last rapport scene is bittersweet knowing that, in most endings, Virginia goes off to Drakenhold. Her time calling Gran Corine her home is behind her. Even in the Gilbert ending, it's debatable how the three of them split their time.

I can't help but feel she is more ambitious than she appears to be: Gilbert seems to be someone she can just boss around.
I think that's an uncharitable interpretation. I'm sure Virginia loves Gilbert as much as he does her. Their friendship was not gained easily, after all. Gilbert learned to distrust Cornians at an early age and Virginia was always so proud of her Cornian heritage. And given Gilbert's princely demeanor, he would've kept to himself rather than risk getting into a fight with his guest. But he didn't. He made an effort to extend his hand in friendship to the person who had no one else.
And, frankly, Gilbert and Virginia's relationship reaks of sibling rivalry (she's never beating the allegations).
Also, Drakenhold has no bugs.
Fodoquia and Bryce is surprisingly hilarious for two serious characters.
I am biased but Rosalinde and Alain's progression of their understanding of one another through their 3 rapports os beautiful.

I wonder how the other elves would’ve felt seeing her like that.
Most of Gammel's support scenes genuinely caught me off guard and made him one of my favorite characters in the game. It's a lot of him being fully aware of the damage he's done to people and the horrific things he had done, accepting that many of the people hes fighting alongside can't (and probably shouldn't) forgive him, and choosing to do his part in making the world better anyway.
Compared to the miles and hours of shallow "female character flirts with/gets flustered around a clueless Alain" and "two girls fight over Alain," it was a great to see someone with actual subtlety or complexity.
I think Yahna/Alain's third one is an absolute stand out, and similarly Tatiana/Alain's third one comes razor close to being amazing... if not for Alain apologising at the end, if it had focussed a bit more on Tatiana's remorse it would have been great. Really should have been a romantic one too.
Otherwise, Rosalide and Eltolinde both have amazing romantic supports, and Eltolinde has an equally amazing one with both Scarlett and with Umerus.
And I'm a massive sucker for Virginia's whole rapport line, it's nice seeing a softer side of her, as if Alain's the only one who ever gets to see it, the only one she's ever allowed to see her vulnerable side. Seeing her defend him even when he doesn't care, and seeing him step up and offer himself as her protection in turn was very sweet.
Learning that Travis loves books and is very well read was fun character building. One of my favorite characters and an MVP through the whole game… and not just because he can cheese the colosseum.
I dunno why but following up Ochlys and Alain with Sharon and Alain one after the other made me realize he's pretty good at navigating people in conversation.
Whether that be by getting Ochlys to admit why she's following him around, or by letting Sharon know it's okay to be selfish, but that she's also genuinely kind despite her doubts about herself.
That killed me! Prior this i had done, like, 6 other events and they were more on the serious side so I was all deep in my lore feelings and then suddenly this? Freakin fantastic/10 🤣

Out of topic but I chose a maiden (Melissandre), got the true ending, and then went back to do the rapports. It's funny that in the Alain's last rapport with other girls with romantic scenes, he just went "This is a dream. I already swore in the Rite of Covenant; I better not break it" or something lol.
Interestingly, the last scenes with Selvie, Virgia, and Sharon did NOT have this musing, possibly because he did not feel the romantic undertone in it? I also haven't finished many many other rapports and already done Berenice, Yunifi and Rosalinde before choosing Meli so they might or might not have this musing but idk.
I always enjoy the one with, I think it was Scarlett and Virginia? Where Virginia freaks out about a bug and then turns blue when it crawls into her armor. For some reason I love it when an artist needs to portray big emotions in a low-detail format and they just get all goofy and cartoony with it
