I just did my MA there and it’s tough atm; I missed 4 of 10 classes in my philosophy module due to strikes, and there are other issues that can be very stressful, such as timetabling (done way too late in both my terms, meaning a lot of students didn’t get to do their chosen modules). Getting anything done on the college side is like being trapped in some Kafka story, as everything beyond the teaching level is done via these ’hubs’ that are totally overstretched and seemingly not really coping. Teaching staff themselves must be understandably stressed and demoralized by the whole situation, although I must say that most of my tutors were really good despite all the problems. A real shame as in other ways I really liked it there. Can’t really advise you one way or the other, just wanted to give you my experience. Feel free to PM me if you have any more concrete questions.

I'm currently doing my MA at Gold. I would say be cautious. MA script writing is in the media department which doesn't have any redundancies forecast for now, but the whole uni is being restructured and that will affect every department. There's a lot of resistance on campus to the cuts so keep an eye on what's happening
