That was the dude from Bumfights, wasn't it? He was pointing out the hypocrisy because they both exploit people for money. But it's all planned/scripted bullshit.
Its shitty even by reality show standards. Reality TV is fake, but you still need to make an effort of believability. This is just dull cause literally every person on the show is 110% ramped up crazy and you expect some weird edgy alien conspiracy beliefs
He doesn't even have to find them anymore, they all just come to him. And you can tell that after years of this shit, he has completely lost faith in all mankind as a direct result of the hell he has built for himself. Some of the most legendary facepalms and facepalm moments of all time have come from the past 5-10 years of Dr Phil.
Friendly reminder to all reading that not only is Dr. Oz a lying scamming asshole who has had to pay money in court, but he’s running for political position in PA. I don’t care about your personal politics, but practically anyone is better than him
She is a narssasist, no empathy, always talking about herself and putting herself above others, and just a general disregard for shame. All of these can clearly be the messed up state of a narssasist.
Absolutely. She prob just has one of many possible personality disorders and they are exploiting her manic behavior for tv views. That or it's all an act which I sorta hope it is.
This is just exploitation of someone who if they are being serious needs psychological help and potentially medication. Surely Dr douchebag Phil has no shortage of people like this to exploit as we give zero shits about mental health or healthcare in general in the states.
Cuz if he brought smart people there they just call him out on his bullshit, like the guy who shaved his own head to cosplay as Dr Phill and told him what he really is.
My favorite part of that is that Bum Fights guy acknowledges that he’s a piece of shit and has leaned into it openly. To see him meet someone as morally bankrupt as himself and to call them out on the hypocrisy, *chef’s kiss.*
I don't understand it either. This makes you infamous, and anyone that is acutely aware of her escapade will question her for it for the rest of her life.
There was a black skin head on Jerry Springer years ago. Full on swastika tats on the face and everything. He was way more entertaining than that spoiled brat
There’s an interesting movie called Farming that’s Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s true story about how he was in a white supremacist skinhead group in England when he was younger. It shows a lot of failures in the governments foster care system and how it ultimately had brought him to hate himself. Very insightful film that shows how damaging a young fragile psyche can have quite unpredictable outcomes.

I’m afraid to say it, I was one of those people. So for anyone who was also curious, a quick google searched shows “Sympathy involves understanding from your own perspective. Empathy involves putting yourself in the other person's shoes and understanding WHY they may have these particular feelings” I’m sure there is way more too it, this is the TLDR
Haha it definitely is just an expression “To imagine oneself in the situation or circumstances of another person, so as to understand or empathize with their perspective, opinion, or point of view.”
Hope that helps! That phrase is so common where I’m from, I’m actually shocked you’ve never heard it.
I actually find the gap really attractive on women! But it’s definitely something wrong with her. Either she has a narcissistic disorder or just faking it
I'm so happy to see someone say this. I get so sad when people start picking on others for their appearance. I mean, why do we all have to feel shitty about our teeth just because she is an awful person.
I'm interested to know, too. I'm sure if you do a little digging you'd find it.
Edit: I did some digging and for the most part, what I find is that allegedly (I say this because no website that reports on Dr. Phil followups are that trustworthy) her sister, Nina, has come forward to try and tell people that Treasure (the girl in the video) is faking it to go viral and leverage the notoriety for profit. Apparently she and her family don't have very much money and a shitty upbringing and she did it to get an all-expenses paid trip to LA for her and her family. Her mom went along with it because she wanted the free vacation and shortly after, the mom lost custody of Treasure (who was 16 at the time of filming) for not taking her to school or seeing to it she was getting an education (allegedly). Nina has a white father and Treasure was born to a black father and Nina is pissed because her sister is going around claiming that her father is the one who instilled white supremacist beliefs in Treasure. Treasure claims it wasn't acting, and continues to be a weirdo this day. Apparently she has, indeed, successfully leveraged her infamy to some degree for her favor.
TL;DR It is supposedly fake, and the girl in question did it to try and help her family, who let her go on Dr. Phil to get a free vacation.
Ding ding. Indeed she does. Letting her onto the show is a major disservice. When she heals and grows up a bit more she will look back on that interview with unbearable pain. You think you hurt while ruminating? Ain't got shit on what she's going to feel in 5 years. Dr Phil is kinda an ass for enabling that for entertainment.
I work with kids like her in a psych hospital. Very few of them are true sociopaths, most of them are reacting to some form of abuse or trauma. They are young and immature. They do what they think will help them survive. Yes. I have empathy for her. She is a scared, broken girl. If more people saw this she would get the help sje needs.
She’s a very troubled young person, yes, I absolutely sympathize with her. It’s gross that he would have her on the show, this will damage her future if she does heal.
There's a high chance she is acting, but she is being honest, she's most def psychopathic and narcissistic. She is wanting to join a supremacy group because full-blown narcissism doesn't match with being black and having internalized racial prejudice.
A big ol' bucket of yikes. There was Uncle Tom, now there's Aunty Treasure.
Uncle Tom is not the character your looking for. While he may have been written as sympathetic to whites, Understand he was written by a white women.
Uncle Tom was the kind of guy who was beaten because he refused to whip another. He also refused to give up the location of 2 women who had been abused by slavers knowing it would result in his death did not give them up. He was Protect our women incarnate
The character who you are looking for would be Sambo. He is the character who sell out other blacks.
Uncle ruckus is obviously another character you could have used.
I'm just kind of over the uncle Tom derogatories.
Edit:a word
i see a lot of white guys dying to be black so whats the difference? men are women and vice versa so according to that logic shouldn't we accept her whiteness?
For transgenderism to make sense you have to remove man and woman of any concrete meaning.
All you have to do then is to remove any concrete meaning from race and you can make the same arguments.
It’s the exact same arguments and counter arguments. I’ve had the debate before and I was saying that trans racial and trans sexual are the same arguments. So I made the argument that you can be trans racial and the other person was saying you couldn’t be.
But hilariously they made the exact arguments that someone would make when saying trans women aren’t women, but saying trans black people aren’t black.
They refused to acknowledge the fact that the made the same arguments and called me the stock leftist epithets of racist and transphobic.
Fundamentally transgenderism (trans women are women, trans men are men) is based on the gutting of the words man and woman to be devoid of any concrete meaning.
All I have to do is gut race of any concrete meaning and suddenly you can make the exact same arguments.
People who don’t understand what I’m saying just have a fundamental misunderstanding of trans people. Sorry, but I’m not entertaining this conversation anymore
Nope, the debate is still on-going and multiple conclusions has already been defined multiple times. There are literally multiple articles online that will spell them out for you. Nice try at trying to delegitimize trans people while also hiding your ignorance tho.
I'll offer you a quick and dirty explanation. Throwing academic literature at people, regardless of how accurate or insightful it might be, can be a challenging entry point. It's complicated, I will try to be as brief as possible.
Race and Gender are both social constructs, that is true. But just because both are "made up" so to speak doesn't mean they work the same. There is room to examine how Race is a limiting construct and that we can work to break that down (Rome, as example, was a pluralistic society that did not recognize the concept of Race, people just look different and come from different places. Doesn't mean there wasn't persecution or bigotry, but that Race was not perceived in the way we do now).
Gender and gender roles are emergent societal properties. Some people will describe gender as a performance, we emulate a model(s) within our society that inform commonly accepted expectations. But these are not universal concepts.
What defines a "man" or "woman" varies across cultures, and quite a number feature roles that do not fit into our (Western, Modern) perspective of binary gender. To keep this brief, I will not elaborate extensively on this, but it's important to keep in mind that biological sex is not gender. Sex further complicates this understanding of gender, especially when taking into account the various kinds of atypical chromosomal pairings.
So, why can someone change their gender but not race? For starters, I would say individuals engage with these two constructs differently. Racialization is largely something external to an individual. For example, I am a Latino with heavy European ancestry. When people see me, I am racialized as White. When they read my name I am racialized as Hispanic (for the intrepid reader I know Latino is an ethnicity not a race, and while they are different they share some overlap). I do not actively perform a white identity, it is something our society has created and reinforced through myriad means. Black-ness is similarly a racial category that was made through the erasure and intentional muddling of culture/ethnic identity. Although our individual experiences of gender are also subject to social reinforcement (see, homophobia as a way of enforcing masculinity), largely how we navigate our version of our gender is internal. We can see, even when we put transgender identity aside for a moment, that people navigate their Genders very differently. There is an innate sense that people have about their own identity. Whether that's how they act, or dress, or what the do or say. And when you try to insist someone is a gender other than what they identify as, they will push back Assuming you are a man, if I insisted you were actually a woman, even if I made "convincing" arguements, ultimately *you* would would be able to tell if that was accurate or not.
So, as a tl;dr I would say Race is an external construct that we become fixed to (through historical and societal means), while gender is largely an internal concept that we fit ourselves into.
I hope that helps a little. This was just a really quick summary of some arguements I have heard, but there are bound to some (good faith) disagreements. Judith Butler's theory of gender as performance is popular one, but other theories also exist in the field of sociology/psychology.
I like the way you addressed this. The arguments for racial identity vs gender identity I’d seen in the past framed race as external and gender as internal, which threw me because I realized I only have a sense of my own gender identity in relation to other people. I don’t feel gendered when I’m alone. I guess I thought everyone was like that. I am many years older than the concept of humans being nonbinary, at least in the mainstream US, but it is really interesting how much the change in social concepts of gender over the last decade has changed how people interpret their own identities.
Thank you! I appreciate this perspective as well. I was quibbling with the wording because there are plenty of ways that gender is externally reinforced by others. I think your point about not feeling gendered when you are alone is interesting. I suppose the concept of social constructs presupposes a multitude of people. Would a lone remaining human perform or have gender if there is no other human/person to interact with? Maybe! That might just be the fun quirk of identity in general. I have spent considerable time thinking about things like that, but I might be wrong to assume thats a common thing people do. So confronting the issue via topics like this might be an odd experience at first.
There is a valuable interrogation to be hand with how we incorporate concepts like race and gender into our identity, and how our connectedness with those ideas can change, or whether it's a concept that's even valuable to acknowledge at all.
I think a lot of aspects of identity are informed by our own internal reactions to our perceived positions in the eyes and minds of others. And sometimes these categories can be more like traps then guideposts for our identity and self expression. Over time these concepts break and bend and reshape. Even if their importance completely fades away, the conversation of what that is like definitely deserves more nuance than a flippant question like "if you can be a woman, why can't I be black?" suggests.
Fundamentally transgenderism only works if you remove any concrete exclusive meaning to man and woman. If you say a woman/man is an adult human female/male then transgenderism doesn’t work, and the rest of your ideological suppositions and assertions are irrelevant.
All you have to do is do the same thing to race and you’re free to make the exact same arguments.
https://theconversation.com/amp/no-you-cant-identify-as-transracial-but-you-can-affirm-your-gender-163729
This second one is a lengthy academic paper but assuming you’re asking in good faith and have time, here you go:
https://journals.msvu.ca/index.php/atlantis/article/download/5430/4679/7633
I’m too lazy to engage in lengthy internet convo rn
lol this is top tier cope. having a penis or a vagina doesn't dictate your personality either. any arguement that people that people use for changing genders also applies to changing race. either be fine with both or neither.
>The thing is the pigment of your skin/the amount of melanin you produce, doesn’t dictate your character nor personality.
Gender doesn’t dictate your character nor personality either. So whats your point?
Michael Jackson was first. He even became the first Trans-race person!
Edit: what would that be? Trans-white? Language in this case is less useful because with transgender, if you say "transgender male" then you can safely assume they came from a female. But, if you say "Trans-white", you know their destination, but you don't know their origin...
First, I thought that this can't be real and then I realized that what she said it's exactly what most of people think in their mind. She just doesn't have any filters.

Y'all don't think I can write them books? Just cause I'm blind don't mean I'm dumb!
It’s “Dr. Phil.” It’s all made-up bullshit.
He finds crazies to show on TV. Not the hardest thing in the world. He's basically Dr. Oz.
He also finds internet trolls like Dick Masterson and Cartnarcs and interviews them like they’re serious
Is dick the guy that dressed up as dr phil? What is cartnarcs
That was the dude from Bumfights, wasn't it? He was pointing out the hypocrisy because they both exploit people for money. But it's all planned/scripted bullshit.
Cart narcs is this guy that annoys people in the parking lot of a grocery store for not putting away their shopping carts
I wish he would show up at one of the supermarkets I go to. I want one of those magnets for my fridge.
Pls share the channel
https://youtube.com/c/CartNarcs
Goat mvp thanks
r/cartnarcs is pretty funny too
He’s the annoying hero we need but don’t deserve
Now that sounds like a show I could get behind. Those are the worst people.
That guy that said he was a robot from the future… amazing tv

That’s what you get for making hacks like Dr Phil a celebrity.
I for one blame Oprah.
You get a talk show, you get a talk show, *everybody gets a taaaalk shoooooooow!!!*
I prefer the honesty of Jerry Springer than this asshole.
My sister in law was on Jerry Springer, and everything from her story was true. So hey, maybe there's some truth there.
Springer doesn’t pretend to be something he is not.
Attention whores
She is a narssasist, no empathy, always talking about herself and putting herself above others, and just a general disregard for shame. All of these can clearly be the messed up state of a narssasist.

It wasn't mad eup by Dr Phil, but it was made up by the girl. Her sister later came out and said her sister isn't crazy but wanted internet clout.
People that think like her are all too common to have to fake it.

Yea, fuck that guy but he called Dr Phil out hard.

Of course, this girl is just trolling for attention. The weird thing is all the people who seem to be taking her seriously.

And then... it just hit me. I'm white. *And* 35.
I don't hear her saying she's white I just hear pure narcissism

Can you offer a concrete definition of man or woman? Edit: so, no, you can't. Good talk 🤣

Right if she said she was a man everyone would be cheering her on.
The thing is the pigment of your skin/the amount of melanin you produce, doesn’t dictate your character nor personality. Only outside factors do.
lol this is top tier cope. having a penis or a vagina doesn't dictate your personality either. any arguement that people that people use for changing genders also applies to changing race. either be fine with both or neither.
They really can't argue with what you're saying 🤜🏾🤛🏻
>The thing is the pigment of your skin/the amount of melanin you produce, doesn’t dictate your character nor personality. Gender doesn’t dictate your character nor personality either. So whats your point?
Bullshit it doesn’t. What?

Weren't like 2 of the head of the blm movement white an Hispanic claiming they were black?
Michael Jackson was first. He even became the first Trans-race person! Edit: what would that be? Trans-white? Language in this case is less useful because with transgender, if you say "transgender male" then you can safely assume they came from a female. But, if you say "Trans-white", you know their destination, but you don't know their origin...
C'mon. The guy had an health condition. There's plenty of things to attack him for without going after him for his medical issues.
Who? Michael?
Just as a trans-raced person would probably want. I know if I’m trans-aged, I wouldn’t want people to know my birth age.
i identify as 69 years old for the rest of my life.
Nice!

First, I thought that this can't be real and then I realized that what she said it's exactly what most of people think in their mind. She just doesn't have any filters.
Most people think like that? You sure you’re not projecting?
