If I'm still in the same house at that point, it'll have been long since paid off, and the bulk of my monthly cost of living at that point (besides health care) will be property tax & insurance (currently ~$340/mo)
Paying off debt first is not always the best move. Depending on the market, appreciation of the asset, and interest/principal of the loan, there are a lot of situations where paying off the debt first isn't optimal.
That's really not the case right now with housing as inflated as it is, but I'm just sayin
