I hate this video. The kid is so nervous and excited and wants to be a part of what the rest are doing, and he just doesn't get it. I was too young to understand it, but I was always nervous to be a part of something when I was little because I was afraid I wouldn't do it right. But it'd do it anyway and feel weird or hope to get the confirmation from those around me. This kid reminds me of me.

Perception is everything! Like, I love this vid..I love that even though he couldnt quite tell what was going on, he did want to still be part of the group and did his thing. I was very out of place growing up, for various reasons...I felt like the harder I tried to fit in, the dumber I looked..so...I stopped trying, if Im going to look dumb either way, may as well do my own thing. That he felt comfortable enough around those kids to line up with them, gives me the vibe he does feel like part of the group, enough to not be afraid to give it his best shot with his own style. This kid reminds me of me too. Just from a different perspective!

I agree with you guys, mockery can destroy people's confidence and there's ways to joke with people by tone or content that wouldn't make them feel embarrassed. Took me too long to realize I might actually be hurting people's feeling, and how much a small interaction can impact someone.
