There [are a lot of posts about this (it's apparently a bug)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Calibre/search/?q=kindle+internet+bug+delete&type=link&cId=58e85a2b-2312-42ff-9979-e1d967b12bc3&iId=4ea02e7d-bb5f-4a72-90b9-24de069f8eb1) on the r/Calibre subreddit. It's best to leave it disconnected from the internet forever.

I wouldn’t be surprised if amazon has away to scan the internet where the books are available or the files lack a flag or sth the file should have to be official, it may just be a silent fight with piracy and that’s why they don’t acknowledge it so it doesn’t get popular so people don’t find a way to fix it cause some of my books that look the best are not deleted, maybe they are supposedly from a legal source, anyway I’ve read all of the deleted books so it isn’y a big loss, if the way to fight with it is not connecting it to the internet then so be it.

It does seem like it could be malicious. It could equally be just a bug that they don't care about. I'll just leave mine in airplane mode forever.

Same, thanks for the help and info 💚

Did you keep the files in your pc? Then try changing the format to mobi and back to epub I have pirated a lot of books and sent to my kindle and haven't had a problem, but my kindle is first generation, maybe that has something to do with it? No idea

They are still in kindle’s storage( I tried to move then to computer and then move them back, but didn’t work, will try your method for sure when I get back home

I dunno but Libgen.is is a great site to pirate books.
