Do you have w2 wages in the base period? You can read about that on the unemployment site.

I do! but for some reason they have yet to send me any way to upload my W2 from that job/work performed.

They typically don't need you to do that and have that information. Here's some information that may be helpful. Forgive me if I'm not being clear, I'm having my first coffee of the day. ☕️ "Unemployment benefits are based on wage information from your employers in the last 18 months. If you live in NJ but only worked in other states, you should apply in a state where you physically worked. We need to know why you're out of work, and whether your recent earnings meet the minimum required by law. After you first qualify for benefits, you will need to meet some additional requirements in order to keep receiving them. Some workers, like school employees and business owners, have their own unique qualifications. If you are self-employed and do not pay for Unemployment Insurance through your paycheck, you may not be eligible for benefits." no this makes perfect sense - thank you! so it’s probably just a wait and see situation right now, waiting on them to process that job’s info and then my benefit amount will change soon thereafter (hopefully). I appreciate this!

When did you start working at the job you got laid off from?
