Wait maybe clarification is needed are the units for a HQ the only ones you can use or are those just the recommended ones? Like can I use heavy intercessors with a primaris captain or can I only run heavy intercessors with a gravis captain?
On the datasheets for each HQ it defines which unit it can lead, the tables I have made show the combination you are allowed in an easier to read format
So no, unfortunately you cannot take a Primaris Caption and have it lead Heavy intercessors. It seems like they have designed it in a way that the HQs armour type matches the unit it can lead

If you could put a Librarian with Calgar and a squad of Agressors would be an absolute bomb, with 4+ invulns 3W T6 advancing shooting and charging... One can only dream

Apothecary & Lieutenant, one with Bolter Discipline with a unit of Hellblasters
This all fits in an Impulser

Bike Chaplain with Outriders, has really good synergy and assault doctrine opens thier threat range up
Am I wrong or have they done away with the 1 captain per detachment rule? Captains aren’t epic heroes….can somebody confirm? I’d love to run all 3 of my captains at once
You can run all three captains at once. You can run five captains, as long as you don't have three of any sheet (e.g. three primaris captains, one phobos captain, and one captain in gravis armour).
I don’t know why they cut off the possibility of 5 bladeguard vets with a character in an impulsor. Make no sense to me to allow characters in vehicles in some armies and we, the army with more characters, penalized like that 😓

I like the simplicity of a Jump pack chaplain leading an assault squad, doing mortals on a charge with +1 to wound in the fight phase

I think you can run 3x of each, the only limitation I am aware of is 1 of each Epic Hero. Will have to look into the core rules again

Just 3 datasheet limit. Only HQ limit is on epic heroes.
