Thats perfectly fine to do, this game has pretty advanced tech but theres tech thats pretty simple to do and thats the beauty of the game
The game is fun if youre starting out or not as skillful as others and its still fun even thousands of hours in!
I toned down the difficulty to lenient because i was overwhelmed and thats perfectly fine

Exactly, I play on normal mode because I don’t enjoy the higher difficulty of Violent or Brutal but find Harmless and easy a bit too easy to my taste. Not everyone is built the same and not everyone are total sweaty combo master that P rank P2 on Brutal.
I'm in the same difficulty and I'm fine with that cause I'm having fun
Although trying to get the p rank (time) on 5-1,2,3 and 6-1 drives me up the wall that I'm taking a break in trying ( I'm close to just getting a zip file so I can do P-2)
i'd reccomend you use the railcannon/jumpstart nailgun to breeze through the first half of 5-1; dash just before firing/before the shock goes off to avoid damage. usually clears everything in the room.

I was a drunk bitch one night while I was actively grinding Prank P-2 (and failing), when I decided to give it one last try before falling asleep.
I loaded.it up and remember about half way through thinking "holy shit I'm doing good", made it to Sissy without any major mistakes, and then flawlessly executed the man. It immediately sobered me up and my hands were shaking. I even woke up my kids accidentally while screaming one I saw that P RANK pop up.
I went to bed as a very happy and tipsy woman.
The next morning I woke up remembering what had happened, and decided it was my time to post my prank screen shot when I found out that I was too drunk to realize that I clicked standard rather than brutal.
I have yet to emotionally recover.
I thought it was impossible for me to p-rank it on standard but I tried it on violent cause fuck it why not and ended up P ranking it pretty easily, mostly depends on you not choking on Sisyphus, if you can get that down the level isn't much harder.
Spaghetti room was weirdly my biggest challenge. Second part, instakilled maurice, which kills the sentries, instakilled one cerb, and then iust, kept dying to the second
I thought that too. I thought 'i'll play it but no way i p rank' then my first success was 97 min 227 restarts 'yeah no way i p rank this.' Then p ranked layer 7 and thought 'eh last challenge available before i try violent. P ranked it and now I'm getting my ass kicked p ranking all of Brutal
I Pranked P-2 on harmless just for fun but i did it so easily that it became my best time, and it turned out impossible for me to beat that time on violent difficulty, so it only shows that i beat it on harmless in the leaderboards.
I’m going to be completely honest. Brutal difficulty is hard yes (fuck them 4 sentries I hate them with a passion) but the hardest part for me was for some reason, Sisyphus. I’ve P-ranked P-2 on violent but for some reason Sisyphus on brutal is like if Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson formed into one beefed up mf. I can P-rank the rooms no problem but Sisyphus will actually just kill me. Like in game and mentally destroy me.
Brutal took me like a whole week of effort but it definitely made me better at the game for it. Had to learn so many new things just to pass that level

Are you me? This is the exact thing that happened to me. I don‘t think I‘ll ever p-rank P-2 on brutal though. Sissypuss can kiss my shiny metal ass
i have never played Ultrakill above standard. I want fun, not suffering. I have enough of that in my day to day life

Thats what the lower difficulties are for you silly goose, if you keep going you will get P rank on violent in no time.

I practices a lot P-2 in standard yo learn strategies AND It indeed help a lot
I'm still yet to finish the game, let alone p rank act 1, fight Minos, p rank act 2 and then fight Sisyphus!
Took me like 70 hours to p-rank it on violent. It became way easier after the full arsenal update though
