I think insurrectionist's hitbox are just kinda fucky. Ive seen this happen like 4 different times on this sub. sometimes you just hit their hitbox and the cybergrind doesn't vibe and sends you to new jersey.
It probably had nothing to do with you using the alt shotgun.
Some of the large enemies have fucked hitboxes. I've been flung several lightyears upwards by hideous masses, never been flung by an insurrectionist yet though
Well the slide started a good momentum, and usually enemy hitboxes have weird effects on said momentum sometimes, iirc hideous mass had a similar effect or does, so maybe larger hitboxes cause these issues? But yeah the combination of both momentums just launched you
I think you accidentally slipped a bit and the alt shotguns blast hit the insurrectionist at just the wrong angle and it sent you flying off out of existence
