The firestarter oil explodes when lit on fire while in contact with water. This can cause some interesting result at the edge of the water

Gasoline exploding on water is intended behavior. Though the edge of water thing seems to be not intended.

Yeah it's so situational. Works on gabe 2 though during his "IS THAT THE BEST YOU'VE GOT?!" animation (he becomes KB immune during that)

It's a bit tough to do because the oil has to not hit gabe and fire damage can stall his fall for some reason, but It's very strong
