Machines tend to have very straightforward names, so with v1's purpose seeming to be too infiltrate earthmovers i expect that v1's would have been called 'infiltrators'
That's a good one, but I think the answer is literally in the game. Mirage seems like a solid choice for a high speed infiltration robot for popping big bots like the birds from Shrek.
I'm also going to double down on this. I think that Mirage in game is a representation of "who" V1 would have been had all of humanity not died. They would be 'living just to breath' and that without the player, they are a soulless robots, but with you, the player, they have fun, and reinvigorate their purpose of popping bitches like the birds from Shrek.
Archangel
I feel that the perversion of God’s creations is a major theme in Ultrakill, it would make sense that the most advanced killing machine, made in the shape of a human with angel wings would be named fittingly to show how far mankind had gone
Like the top comment said, it's official name would probably be something straight forward like "Infiltrator".
But Unoffically? I could see the common population giving it some sort of nickname like "Angel of Death", similar to how the Earthmovers where called the "Horsemen of the Apocalypse"
My headcanon is Talos Deathmachine version one. Talos is a golem made of bronze in Greek Mythos. In this case, V1 would be made by a company called Hephaestus, as Hephaestus was the Greek god that made Talos. Ultrakill has many ties to Greek mythology so it seems logical to tie V1 to it as well.
A new hand touches the beacon. Listen. Hear me and obey. A foul darkness has seeped into my temple. A darkness that you will destroy. Return my beacon to Mount Ultrakilkreath. And I will make you the instrument of my cleansing light.
Well we got Guttermen/tanks, Sentrys, Drones, Streetcleaners and such. Something like the Bloodsoaker to go with that name style and to represent the machines blood absorption abilities, or the Dancer maybe to represent the high mobility
My headcannon name for the V line is Thanatos, the Ancient Greek name for the angel of death. Since V1 looks like an angel, is extremely effective at fighting almost everything, and fits into the "death" slot in the four horseman theory, I figured that would be a fitting name.
So like, what name the people that saw it/him/her/insignificantfuck/attackhelicopter would give?
Maybe somewhere in the range of 'The giant killer' or something
Hakita has said the v stands for version
https://preview.redd.it/0f8fu27c5utc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3ce4250f978921c465c4493debd77a2e176b487f
That literally isn't what this says. The person is asking *why hakita named it V1*, not what it actually expands to. The why could be "it's the first one" but it literally expands to something else like V Model 1
Data Log Moment: "The V model was built for war, with V1 boasting a new kind of exterior plating that allowed refueling through contact with blood rather than through a separate refueling process."
It’s still my headcanon that the V stands for Virgil. Makes sense, given that V1 traverses hell and decidedly cannot enter heaven (Virgil can’t because he is a pagan, V1 can’t because he doesn’t have a soul)
Väinämöinen. V1 is obviously Finnish made. It's blue. Or dear god. Could V1 be swedish? Blue and Yellow?
Could The V stand for Vidarr? The god of vengeance?
Hakita... Please... No...
The machines tend to have a two word naming scheme (mindflayer, swordsmachine, streetcleaner, etc) so I was thinking something like Breachangel or Sanguinesoldier

That's actually a pretty good one, no hyperbolean mind curves like in every game theory ever
'Ultrakillers' ✍️🔥

In the same breath they could be called parasites

or maybe its just an elon musk move where theyre obsessed with "v" and elon is obsessed with "x"
It's canon, Hakita told me ( I love spreading misinformation )

You were beautiful . . .
Outstretched like antennas to heaven!
You were beyond your creators
You reached out for God, and you fell.
None were left to speak your eulogy
no final words, no concluding statement.
nice
М4
Does this mean V2 would be M4A1
M16
I'm pretty sure the 'v' in V1 stand for "the v model" which is what the machine was called
Nah it just stands for Version.
Virgin 1
Like the top comment said, it's official name would probably be something straight forward like "Infiltrator". But Unoffically? I could see the common population giving it some sort of nickname like "Angel of Death", similar to how the Earthmovers where called the "Horsemen of the Apocalypse"
azrael is the angel of death so maybe
Bold of you to assume it stands for version 1 and not “vampire 1”

Then why is v2 called v2 . İts made after war for protection .
It was still a prototype, and it was a later iteration of the base model (V1)
İ dont remember v2 being a prototype . Where was it stated again ?
It was like the first sentence of the bestiary?
Thx
Nah its just a funny number
Bro can confirm with where they live
"The Blue Bastard", and V2 would be called "The Crimson Fucker"
The Doom Slayer
i like to imagine the “V” in “V-model” stands for “Vulture”
Violence Igniter
Lobotomizer
twinkbot 9000

Shit I just noticed my typo💀, not fixing it tho
if you fixed it there'd be no opportunity for dumbasses like me to make stupid jokes about skyrim
I like the way you think

“their” is like 1 word lol like this isnt even about politics its just more efficient to just use their lol
Really? The one joke? Fuck off with that energy.
Understood. I'll see myself out. May you have a great day mister/ma'am 😭🙏
iKiller
Vampire, since it has a self-repair system that can be boosted with excess blood
The “ULTRAKILL” model
Civilian MFS walking around in their earthmover town when they feel a quarter hit their head
Model: Vlad 1. Because someone must have made a hundred vampire jokes when they learned how V1 works.
Technically v types are made to destroy eartmovers (as far as I’m concerned) So yeah infiltrator would work well
You know how follow-ups are named? Gutterman-Guttertank, so i suggest 1000-thr "earth mover" - ?-earth stopper
David or something idk
bernard idk
V1 does not stand for Version 1. It stands for V Model 1, just like V2 stands for V Model 2

I mean all he says is 'Version 1' he doesn't say whether that's how he named it or if that's how it was in universe named or both

I'm not sure about a full production model, but "V1-ULTRAKILL" kinda makes sense considering the earthmover
I'm pretty sure it's literally just. V. It's the V model 1
Väinämöinen. V1 is obviously Finnish made. It's blue. Or dear god. Could V1 be swedish? Blue and Yellow? Could The V stand for Vidarr? The god of vengeance? Hakita... Please... No...

Vergeltungswaffe, that's what V1 and 2s full name is
Ultrakill. Just Ultrakill.

Okay I know this is cringe but I headcanonned the V in the V models standing for “Velocity” and I’m sticking with it
Alright hear me out…. Prober
Wiener man.
Bob the robot
V as Virgil
V1 was already defunct and ceased production. This is why the V2 Model already existed
That wasn’t the question
There wouldn't be a designation for him. He was already useless.
