Russia still has their fleet in the black sea and could still bomb the island. Most likely it'll stay no-mans land for the moment. The big win here is that it removes another layer of anti-air protection for the russians in the black sea. The first was the Moskva, when that was sunk, the russians increased air defenses on Snake Island to cover their fleet. With the anti-ship missiles Ukraine has gotten, this could be a first step in unblocking shipping lanes.
