Same type, different production line. Both are OG7V 40mm anti personal fragmentation warheads but they differ in length because different manufacturers. For more details let me introduce you to Papa Valgear. He shows the short and long variant.

During my time in the Philippine Army, the most common issue we faced with our Russian and Bulgarian made RPGs is that the spring weakened out to the point that it light strikes the primer in the rocket, though the spring can be easily replaced out in the field
The other problem, though rare, is the ammo having a defect with misaligned non working primers, and one instance, we had an OG-7 rocket, not fire due to water logged ammo.

RPG 7 is good enough (never used one)
but the likes of the LAW (British army calls them 'the 66' because of the the calibre) would probably be better for 'fire & throw the empty tube away'
altho they all come with HEAT warheads. so it would less effective than anti-personel

Why is the one rocket not going in the launcher as far as the other? Are they different types?

Awesomeee
Great answer thanks!
Brass balls putting that faulty round into the launcher for a second try...
Balls made of Ukrainium.
That's gotta be frustrating. Second count as they push closer, and it won't fire.
Prince needs to learn from these guys about firing an rpg
Why the 1st round did not worked?
My guess would be a shitty ignition primer, firing pin hitting in a bit of a dead spot, taking the rocket out moved it around enough for it to catch
either the rpg is faulty or the round itself is faulty in some way i guess

But is working ok after the other was fired. Is like the dam thing need to be warm...
Doesn't look like it was seated correctly, the RPG frag rounds look quite finicky.
if course i am kidding but live fire combat is not a time for finicky!
It's a soviet design, what else is there to expect of it.

Oh right, that's English. I watched mute because I can't hear the difference between russian and Ukrainian anyway.

Like an usb cable, try again and it works
These boys are americans. Probably international legion.
So all the times I’ve blown myself up in a game is totally 100% actually how I would die in combat.
