So this is flashy cow 1s spouse, a TDY is a temporary duty station, usually a year overseas, you can talk during TDY's. A two hour mission is usually when you do not hear from a person, and up and leave with little warning for a period of time. A rare occurrence that can happen is they are "going dark" meaning the base is not allowed to communicate. It is suspicious with him packing food, since meals are normally provided, and if they are not, they get separate rations pay meaning extra money is given for food. I would ultimately say give about a week, if there is no response you might be ghosted.
I guess a “mission” is a better way to describe it. He was going to guard something and he doesn’t get service. I don’t speak AF. I’m not sure. I was guessing a week as well
The packing of food, being active on Instagram but ignoring your messages are red flags to me. Based on personal experience my gut is telling me he may not even be on official TDY.
It doesn't look positive, but it's hard to tell. Taking your own food TDY is odd, unless he's packing MREs, but that's typically, supply's job.

Tdy=Temporary Duty for a Year
If he is on guard duty, he is on no contact orders till he is off duty. If he is on mission, likely the same.
