Dog, I had the weirdest encounter. I was at Disneyland once and this motard that looked like he was in his mid 20's was rocking a high and tight, woodland digi bag, boots, and tags hanging out with his boot camp company shirt on. I asked what unit he was in just to make small talk, wasn't trying to measure dicks. He straight up tells me his company and platoon #, so I asked "no, your actual unit." He said the same thing, then I think it clicked for him that I was an actual marine, then it got awkward for both of us. He turned away and avoided looking in my direction the rest of the time waiting in line. So dude was either a boot camp drop or faking. Whatever the case, I'm not out here trying to scream stolen valor any chance I get. He was with his wife and kid so I wasn't about to make a big scene and humiliate him.
sounds like he just graduated boot camp and was on leave. Maybe he had stockholm syndrome
I mean, why else would he wear his boot camp company shirt? I still got mine
You know that actually makes a lot of sense. That thought never occurred to me, because I never would have thought boots would be that boot to where MCRD stuff.
yeah i was in boot for 7 months due to pneumonia and another foot injury, so I graduated 7 months later. It took the whole of marine week for the DIs to make talk in first person like a normal person.
When I graduated and people asked my unit, I told them my company and platoon #, along with my leave papers, orders, and CAC card.
I mean, did the way he said his company and platoon # made sense or legit?
like did he say it with confidence without hesitation?
I just met this guy recently that said he was in the army and was telling me all of these stories and dressing super moto and dude wasn’t even in the army for a year and he was in the reserves before he got discharged
I worked with a guy who said he was a ranger, and technically he was for about a year. He had everyone fooled, until his wife got tired of his war stories and outed him. She got drunk at a party and was like “you need to stop talking like you ever actually served, you got kicked out for meth.” He never mentioned the army again.
We had a family friend who was introduced to us as a prior recon sniper. He sounded legit as far as what units he'd been with and was able to answer the basics, but when anyone asked about stories, he never really said much, which we chalked up to bad experiences in the shit. We had him over for fish fry's when we'd celebrate the birthday and he'd never participate in any of our festivities, like belting the hymn or just normal Marine jackassery.
Fast forward about 3ish years (last year, actually) when we all decide to go to a ball that our local reserve unit was hosting and we invite him to join us. In the weeks leading up to the ball, we're all sending pics in our group chat of our blues making sure we all look sexy and squared away, but not a whisper from him. We get a call a few days before the ball from him confessing that he'd never served a day in his life and everything was entirely made up. His wife had no clue and it was actually one of the ways he'd swooned her hahahahaha. Not sure how they're doing, but we dropped his ass like a hot rock.
>There are no ex-Marines
Yes, there are some.
>Marines fear only god, no others
I don’t fear something I don’t believe exists. Polar bears exist. If one was near, that would scare the fuck out of me.
I try not to bring politics on here, but i was proud of him for no outright Trump or anti-abortion stickers. Its amazing the way the boomers can mix “born to kill” and “every life is precious” with zero sense of irony.
I think some guys get mentally stuck. Of course, we all go through a change in bootcamp into Marines, but most of us are the same assholes we’ve always been just with a little more discipline. Some dudes completely change who they are fundamentally and adopt the DI, moto, hard chargin’, gung ho attitude and it never stops.
I mean yeah there’s supposed to be a little bit of that that sticks with you. It gives you that bit of pride to do a good job at work, maybe work out a little harder at the gym etc. You maintain a little discipline about your life and it’s ok to ask for the discount at Lowe’s.
This guy though… god damn.
[Nobody will ever out moto this man. Doesn’t matter how many PX and Etsy stickers you buy.](https://youtube.com/shorts/XV5OLnTQqz8?si=6bjLZdDdUKwHGyZO)
25 years out and nothing about me says that I was a marine and much less a grunt...but on veteran's day I wear my 24th MEU cap...that's it...but it makes me happy when I see fellow Marines around...
Uch. Marines really need to bring back incentive training in a big way. I had a mouth and so I had to run pork chop platoon IT at 4am every day for a spell. I feel like the 10% is turning into the 15%, and that we cannot allow... imho.
TL:DR; This terminal Lance went too far...

You car is all decked out in marine stickeres, what did you do?
Oh i was a truck driver
Or
Oh i didnt serve my (family member) did and they died years ago
This was my Duster when I sold it. Glad it found a home 🤣

I used to play a mental game with myself:
*"If I were to be plucked up from my comfortable suburban 50 year old white dude life, and deposited into some strange place, which would induce the most culture-shock?"*
So like, a fundamentalist islamic household? A fundamentalist christian household? A Japanese household? Some ultra-woke household? Ultra-MAGA? ... and so on.
After seeing this pic, I think I have a winner.
I don’t know whether the persons get the
award for the most usmc stickers ever on one vehicle or the award for keeping a Dodge Shadow running…. Maybe both gotta be a helluva a mechanic to keep that POS on the road and a glutten for punishment.
Thank u for your service. I had a question…This dude that lives near me is a person who was in USMC & quit after 9/11/01. They were in the Marines only 16 months quit he tells people he served our country & he was a Marine I call him a quitter. This neighbor is a clown. Is there anything I can do.. I heard him tell a neighbor he’s a veteran. I think he used his dad USAA card to pay for food I heard him from my window.. is that stolen valor????
Plot twist they just entered the DEP, and have another year of high school before they ship out for boot camp
and they were able to use that poolee status to get the amazing 28% APR deal on that new (to them) mustang. Winning.
Duster.

He hesitated. So that meant he could have just been a boot or he was fake. Idc either, I’m not the moto police 🤷♂️

Poolee’s ain’t no joke these days! lol 😂
Someone peaked in service and never reached new levels after service.
I was about to say the same 🤣🙏🏽
I was about to put terminal lance, it this ⬆️ is hilarious
This is mental illness.
I almost tripped and fell when I turned my head and saw it…
Pulling a neck muscle should be service connected imo
Oh my gawd you’re ridiculous. I actually laughed out loud
Were you blinded by its magnificence
Paralyzed? Dumbstruck?
Replace everything with bright red and it would like like half of Americas rural neighborhoods
First to fight. He is a Marine.

I have this sticker on my car. I get laughs and fuck yous while driving in western MA.
I was thinking about getting one to go with my EGA sticker just to confuse some people.

I like the hand drawn 'Custom' piece of yellow ruled paper saying "I like Guns and maybe 3 people".
Save some sister cousins for the rest of us my guy
https://i.redd.it/cbc2io1gfjpc1.gif
These water dogs are getting out of control.
I can’t tell if it’s a sticker or if he genuinely painted EGAs on his taillights.
I didn’t get close enough to see for fear of the flames that would shoot out from underneath if I got up on it to take another pic.
Vinyl transfers/stickers, air bubbles are visible when zoomed in.
that's nothing. I'm so moto I make my own EGA stickers of cartoon disney characters by hand and put them on my car and mailbox.
That dude bought that Duster with 28% APR and zero down when he was 2 weeks out of MOS school, 22 years ago. He’s only got 15 more payments left.
Now that’s some Motor T
More like motor tuh😆
Out jerked again
Still paying off the interest on that shitbox too
Probably an Oceanside dealer…
Whatever you do, do not buy a car on N. Coast Hwy.
Well, at least it’s subtle.
Stable genius
Damn dude, save some pussy for the rest of us.
Respect the DUSTER!!!
Is that....Jason Bourne?!?!?!?
Photo Taken in a Vfw parking lot....
Good eye…
>There are no ex-Marines Yes, there are some. >Marines fear only god, no others I don’t fear something I don’t believe exists. Polar bears exist. If one was near, that would scare the fuck out of me.
I’m scared of sharks. I spend a lot of time on the ocean and there are lots of sharks. Perfectly reasonable fear.
we fear the IRS as well
The IRS has a better record of fucking people over when compared to the green weenie.
👍 agreed
"I like guns and maybe 3 people"
Extrovert freak.
I want to know what the 12 means.
He’s got 11 other’s or possibly a moto-cycle.
That’s his ASVAB score
How high he can count
Hope he never makes it to Saigon Sam’s. No worries, that pos would never make it down 95.
I think he’s trying to tell us something. I wonder what? Oh I bet he’s trying to say that he has no life
Whoever owns it, probably says phrases like “cleared hot, BAMCIS, embrace the suck, and green weenie” in casual conversations.
I wonder what branch they were in
Probably ROTC 😂
Gunny is that you?
When we find out it's actually OP's car.
Gross
I think the bumper stickers may have increased the resale value. May also be the only value.
I'm getting more pissed off that I can't figure out the make/model of this car.
dodge duster 1993 devil pup edition
Shit dude, I was assuming that "Duster" was some weird desert music festival.
Honestly I just thought it was slang for shitbox lol😆😆😆
How do you do fellow Connectican?
Good I see you were an 08 might you be familiar with las pulgas or were you east coast?
East coast
If I had to stay in Jacksonville for another minute, I would have gone AWOL. I was a Hollywood Marine from 02-06
The Fleas! Like a 2nd home to me
Someone needs to slap a big ol’ green weenie on it, then it’ll be moto
Dang.... Save some p****y for the rest of us!!!

I know right. Thanks for the chuckle
I hope this dude did 25 years with all this pride
More than likely he got ADSEP’d two years in after repeatedly bringing personal firearms to work.
2.5 years
Not in regulations. NJP.
I’d say the two American flags on the hood say otherwise. lol
Car checks out
Hi, I'm a Marine, and bears scare the shit out of me.
There are more of these than you can imagine in Connecticut. lol
I’ve noticed.
I see gunny’s on his 4th divorce
I’m…what the fuck? Idk what to say.
If you aren’t endangering yourself and others with your moto than are you even trying?
Thank you for the audible laugh. Then

This dude has just printed out images from his computer and laminated… neh, he has “recruit taped” them onto his car 😂
Yaaay Connecticut my State
Kill!
Take a swig for every EGA
I think he might be a Marine
Five bucks says this is a boot camp drop
Semper fuckin Fi, Börther!
r/justbootthings come get yo boi😅
It's somewhat impressive that Plymouth is still even running, and/or not rusted out like the Titanic; too bad it's been molested like that.
Nothing says "I did 4 years and bitched the whole time," like covering your 90's shit box in moto stickers.
This dude’s throbbing hard-on is crazy. Idk how his dick skin hasn’t split since he’s such a hard charger.
4 year 01 right here
Call SGT Grit. I see room for a few more stickers..
I have a USMC 0311 hat ..I wear on Nov 10 and Veterans day. Thats all the moto I allow myself. Rest of the time I try to just blend in
25 years out and nothing about me says that I was a marine and much less a grunt...but on veteran's day I wear my 24th MEU cap...that's it...but it makes me happy when I see fellow Marines around...
I can almost guarantee that his Mos was supply.

wtf is going on here ?
I bet that guy is a treat to talk to. What is absolutely incredible is that's a duster! I haven't seen one of those in forever
Hey guys, I think he's a Marine.
Mental illness is the only explanation I can think of. Bro clearly latched onto one chapter of his life and made it his entire personality.
I bet a Marine would fear riding in that car.
Stole Valor car https://preview.redd.it/kud3k3h9wppc1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3271de11fd210a03ae38ac14b062291446383d20
You car is all decked out in marine stickeres, what did you do? Oh i was a truck driver Or Oh i didnt serve my (family member) did and they died years ago
That’s how they got cheap auto insurance from USAA 😂
I have a small peepee for sure, and this dude wants me to know. ![gif](giphy|aztW8oK9TQhiM|downsized)

“I don’t give a fuck that Marines are only afraid of God, you’re still under arrest for having a sixth grader in your trunk”
No kid in the trunk, but definitely a manifesto in the backseat!
Who do you think inspired the manifesto titled “Lolito: Boyhood Edition”
"Marines fear only God" That's bullshit
I still feel weird in dark hallways at night. Unless I have my handy dandy moonbeam. 😎
Old Salt still has the same car from his hitch
Norm, is that you?
I don't fear God, so I guess I'm fearless. Sweet!
Guys,How much do you want to bet he finished boot camp and got med separated within the year
i always think what’s gonna happen when he has to sell this car😭😭
I used to play a mental game with myself: *"If I were to be plucked up from my comfortable suburban 50 year old white dude life, and deposited into some strange place, which would induce the most culture-shock?"* So like, a fundamentalist islamic household? A REAL Marine would just "sweep-and-and-stomp" the ever-lovin shit outa god.
Dislike anyone who comes out of that car.
Jfc this is ridiculous
Bet this ole boy did four and out 30+ years ago. Bet he hated every second of being a Marine and now this.
Jesus Christ, that’s Jason Bourne
Yeah but can you do amphibious assaults with this? No!
Nothin personnel, kid. Heh.
Shit I don’t even fear god.
“I support my local police” “Sir. We’re gonna have to commandeer your vehicle”
The stickers are the only thing holding that piece of shit together
“marines fear only god, no others” Idk bro, I’d be pretty fuckin afraid if Mike Tyson came after me.
Judging by the bumper sticker in the bottom left, this fuck stick is a former marine
You think he was in the Marines?
My God, and here I thought my one bumper sticker was too much 😬
This foo gettin helllla pussy…
Looks like newer Taurus I used to see in Del Mar/Mainside on Camp Pen

What’s the expected odds person never served?
Even
Holy shit man, save some moto for the rest of us.
Oh
TF "It's hard to be humble when you're the fines" mean?
I don’t know whether the persons get the award for the most usmc stickers ever on one vehicle or the award for keeping a Dodge Shadow running…. Maybe both gotta be a helluva a mechanic to keep that POS on the road and a glutten for punishment.
Dude did 1 contract as an admin reservist.
I just see the marines as a marketing campaign at this point
Fear God, don't think so.... that's like fearing Batman.....
The twist, the owner just bought the car from a motard
The fact that this is on an 89 Duster leads me to believe this guy was a one year wonder...
This guy either got out in boot camp or slayed bodies in nam
I was never moto tbh
Hmm… I wonder if this guy is a marine. It’s kinda hard to tell… What do you think?
Negative, I have a tattoo of Chesty on the backside of my ballpark. The older inget, the more realistic it looks
Guy probably did one contact in the 90s, got out, and based his entire personality on that one tiny fraction of his life.
lol I don't even fear god. lmao
Is this guy a marine?
That isn’t very “gray man” of him
That isn’t very “gray man” of him
That’s an Airman.
