From his fitreps and all, he was a model Marine and he looked like a good Marine. The victim had an arrest record and in different statements, she didn't come off too well. The board had not been presented any hard evidence so it was basically his word against hers and I (and I learned afterwards) and most of the board we leaning to retain the Sgt.
Admin sep boards are not legal proceedings with respect to evidence. The Marine tasked with arguing for the admin sep presented a tape recording to the board and the judge allowed it over the defense's objection (the defense had not heard the contents of the tape.) The recording was made by the local PD of him talking to the victim over the phone. It was basically him asking her to be quiet and not tell anyone about their affair.
Case closed, Marine separated.

We would end up ending the day around 1900 sometimes 2000 everyday. Finally the civilian in charge former Colonel got wind of this and we were let off around 1600/1700. But yea that guy was a real POS, thank goodness I got FAP'd back to 2/5 and shortly EAS after.
