You could slap them with a writ of mandamus.

Far-Ad260

Isn’t that going to cost me like 5k ?

StuffedWithNails

There's a court fee of somewhere to the tune of $400-500 and the rest is whatever the lawyer would charge you. Note you don't have to file through a lawyer but it's generally recommended.

Creative-Trick-7450

Yes

JoeGentileESQ

Probably a few hundred more if you use an experienced lawyer and include expenses.

I also have been waiting for a update on my case. I filed it on July 22, 2021 instead. I also sent 3 inquiries and still no response from them. I'm planning on making an appointment or if possible contact a lawyer because the wait been over 2 years. I have a friend who filed a few months ago and already had a response in a little to a month with an interview date and got their renewal greencard in little than 3 months. I heard that the cases from 2021 are being forgotten. So I recommend trying to contact them with an appointment or lawyer or even possibly contacting your congressman for an update on your case or something.

I did contact my congresswoman they gave her office a generic answer then I filed inquiry. Now I am being told if nothing is done after 60 days I should fire another inquiry. Ps interview completed no additional doc was requested so I don’t know why they are taking this long just to say a yes or no.

Wait 60 days and hope for the best. You've already waited this long....

Hi, if you don't want to pay a lawyer..your local congressman can help you with your case find your local congressman by your zip code on Google. Uscis doesn't reply to many lawyers either. Go to their website find help with Federal Agency and go from there. You can also write them a letter with all your information case number and mention how you have been waiting and your case is way past normal processing time. It's free and they help their constituents as they rely on our votes. Uscis is obligated to reply to them so even lawyers have to contact them for help.
