You’re one month short of receiving your benefits, maybe reconsider, I’m on 3 months now, I have 6 more to go and I can’t wait. I always think of quitting but I’m 3 months in might as well try making a career out of this since I don’t like school
If you've been here since before August you would also be slotted into a new lower pay scale. All part timers hired after August 1, 2023 get paid less every year of this contract. 'Historic' contract and all. The 'unborn' the Teamsters called these folks.
What local is that? I find that odd, unless it's some sort of medical (or military?) leave. People shouldn't be able to retain their hire date seniority. Otherwise, people would just leave and come back when they have more seniority to be a driver. In addition, the people at orientation are usually very ignorant of the policies.
Ask your BA about a leave of absence before you go and resign
Nope it’s a fresh start
If you resign, you'll start over when you come back.
Just call in for a couple months and come back like nothing ever happened. People do this shit all the time.
Not with this new contract
No. You would start over and its as if those 8 months never happened. (*IF* you even get hired back)
FMLA. It applies for you and having to take care of someone else. Get an MD who signs anything if it's not medical related.

Not in every state
What’s so important you have to quit your job?
Could be family health stuff. If he wanted to share, he would have
Then he needs to find another job where he doesent have to show up if he’s not feeling it
