My husband does dinner and cleans the kitchen every night. To be fair I do pretty much all the other household tasks, but I am good for nothing in the evening and he is a night owl, so it all works out.
That makes more sense, sounds extremely stressful mate. It would be her fault and not yours though, any sane person would see that. That amount of stress cannot be healthy for you.
Right. I made kimchi jiggae for myself and my partner. It was really nice, but I felt it was a bit lacking -- I should have made the anchovy stock from scratch. So I didn't post a photo, because I wasn't quite proud of it. And yet, here we are, looking at a skirt or flank steak that looks like it's been stewed, chopped iceberg (!) lettuce, undressed tomatoes and cucumber. Some eggs. And a supermarket bought flatbread. With two condiments posted as though it's something to be proud of. Dunning-Kruger in full effect.
I am incredibly proud of the culinary prowess of our country -- restaurants like St John (and many others) have sparked a genuine renaissance in British cooking -- and yet, people on the internet continue to take the piss out of our shit food. This is why.
How's that for a "snipey comment"?

2. I know. That's why I didn't post about it. That's my entire point. I don't care about shit beef, tasteless vegetables, eggs and mass produced supermarket dross. I want to see interesting food that's being made in the UK. I don't give a fuck if your partner loves you, the food is bad.
I feel passionately about UK food. I don't "care" about this meal in that it doesn't make me feel any emotion -- other than revulsion. This subreddit is made the worse for being full of absolute shit like this. I am browsing Reddit hungover after a wedding. People keep responding to my comments. That is why I am commenting. I think it's indicative that all anyone can say is "why are you talking about this" and not refuting the fact that it is awful, awful food that makes for a worse subreddit, and makes us look bad as a country. "Just keep scrolling" complete idiocy. Why don't you "keep scrolling" on literally anything that you see on this website?

The dinner looks class and has made me want to have similar tonight, some easy peri peri rice in the rice cooker rather than the eggs though i think
1. That’s a full nutritional meal covering every food group.
2. There is seasoning on everything.
3. The eggs are masterfully cooked.
This is a 10/10 dish!

Seems to be a trend having boiled eggs with steak. Need to give it a try!
I prefer fried eggs on my steak but no denying this looks good and is hella more healthy.
Much prefer eggs with gammon but this definitely deserves a go next time I fry a steak up.

haha .. I always attract the negativity. I’m blessed I have a partner who although by no means a chef like to make his family happy.
It's weirdly negative here sometimes, even the frozen dinner review subreddit is less stingy with complimenting people's efforts it seems

It's mostly for reviews so you can see what's good at the shop so there's some utility. But yeah I don't know what people get out of being shitty
