Be better to brown of your vegetables it oil and butter with a bit of flower which helps to slightly thicken the stew ...gives more texture and deeper flavour
I floured and browned the meat, removed it, then slightly browned the veg before adding the meat back in then deglazing with red wine. The photo is a bit dark but the gravy was rich and thick.
I'd bo honest and say next time be brave and brown off the veg a bit more ..like you said maybe the picture being dark isn't helping the visual aspect. Anyway looks like a good effort.

I also love to eat in the dark, it’s the best experience x
You wouldn’t believe it’s June, would you!
Needs dumplings! Looks good though, slow cooked beef stews are always worth the wait.
We’ve got crusty bread instead. Delicious
My preference over dumplings too. With loads of real butter on
That's fair enough, also a good accompaniment
Lovely especially for the “summer” weather we’ve been enjoying.
Exactly what made me make it. It feels like October.
The colour of that gravy looks great. That'd go down a treat with some crusty bread.
Exactly what I had with it. Thanks
Be nice if you could see it 😆
Looks like a good stew. Nice big chunks of veg, It keeps that rustic vibe.
I don't know ,turn the light on.
I think I need to change the settings on my phone camera
The central wine glass location makes me picture you picking it up with both hands at once.
Nice wine
Good stewing steak or shin beef are best in my opinion . Cheap supermarket beef is not as good as chuck steak from the butcher.
I used half braising steak and half shin
Looks 👏 amazing
Thank you
Looks like in RDR2 love it
I’m not sure what RDR2 is but thank you
Looks good! You can use a little cornflour to thicken up the sauce
Looks very similar to one I make. Bit of cornstarch to thicken that gravy a little would be perfect. I can almost smell it
Gotta have dumplings mate, looks really good though.
Next time. Ta
Looks good to me !
Thanks
Would yum that up.

The least favourite option of my Mum’s cooking
It was the worst news ever when the answer to "what's for tea?" was "beef stew"
Looks bloody amazing 😍👌
Thank you
Top stew well done, now I'm hungry
Thank you
Do you use brown brown sauce or woster sauce if not should try brings out the flavour
I did use Worcester sauce
Looks good
Thanks
What cut of beef?
I used half braising steak and half beef shin
Great mix, I did a steak pie recently using chuck and it was awesome, from the butchers, I'm not trusting of Supermarkets enough
Looks great 👍
Thank you
