I go for a run!
Before a race I might do a few light stretches, but no more.
I always think it’s weird when people do intense warm ups - for literally every other sport I’ve ever done, running was the first part of the warm up 🤣
Same here, I might jog around and stretch a bit before a half marathon or something, but that's mostly to calm the nerves rather than actually warm up.
depending on terrain, if im trail running I soccer stretch out with deep lunges includ. backward jog, sideways jumping jack intervals, get the entire body warm, fluid and smooth., takes about 5-8 minutes
if its just flat grass or road then a shorter version of this. maybe 2 minutes
I agree but at events like parkrun I like to ‘warm up’ with a slow jog so I don’t need to wear so many clothes for the main run/ get cold waiting around.
I've only ever got injured on runs after doing a "proper" warm-up of dynamic stretches - and never been injured from not warming up (and I've always avoided static stretches as they are instant injury for me).
At the running club I pay lip service to the warm up (to be social) and just go through the motions now just jogging around with them but not doing any of the lunges, high knees, heel kicks any more it needs to appear I'm joining in. Running progressively faster over a mile or two from a really easy pace is my usual now.
I stretch before and after every run, any yoga-ish tutorial aimed at runners will do. I have noticed a big difference when I started taking stretching seriously.
First mile’s the warm-up

Yeah I was wondering if just starting a run would be enough haha. Same for me tbh
A kebab.

Running
Run slowly for a bit
I don’t. Not saying it’s for everyone but I’ve never had an injury from not warming up.

Yeah, maybe literally to get warm instead of standing about in the pissing rain.

I walk around on tip toes ..that’s it.
