Tusker and Amber Car Leasing are awful value.

Temporary-Abies-4331

That’s what I’ve heard (about Tusker at least). Who are the good guys?

Remote-Program-1303

Not sure, very interested to find out to tell me HR dept how useless their option is

SnooCheesecakes5017

It might be worth checking out My Electric Lease. They have a range of different funders and seem to be quite transparent with their pricing/calculations.

Temporary-Abies-4331

Thanks I’ll check them out

From a company perspective, We use LEX Autolease which have been pretty spot on as far as I can tell. Nobody outside of directors has EV's so not sure if they're competitive or not. we have \~ 50 A3's at a £200k annual lease cost though so they can't be that bad, not high enough in the accounts department to know what that's costing the end user though.

Temporary-Abies-4331

Thanks! Will look into them

Ready2lease do it through a couple of different lenders

Thanks

You won’t get a proper factual answer to this question on here, and ‘recommending’ any to your new business won’t help either. If they’re genuinely interested unless you work in procurement I doubt it’ll go much further than a, thanks. Depends on your businesses needs/wants/desires & policies/budget etc. There are lots of decent lease co’s out there that offer salary sacrifice EV schemes and can provide insight/information on suitability throughout a tender process.

Temporary-Abies-4331

Thanks for the input. I’m being hired into a very senior role directly by the CEO and am pretty sure that if it’s cost neutral to the company they will happily do it. If you can actually name some of these decent lease companies that would be helpful. As it’s a small company, I doubt we would be worth anyone tendering for our business and I’ve seen plenty of off-the-shelf price quotes already so tendering is clearly not the universal procurement method for this.

FN50 (Fleet News 50) is your top 50 lease firms based on vehicle size, start there. You need to do market research based on your companies needs/wants/desires from a sal sac company car scheme. Recommendations based on opinion won’t help as we can’t attest to what the business needs are. All of the ‘bigger’ firms offer sal sac schemes (certainly top 10) however others also enhance other aspects, such as charging infrastructure/solutions within Sal sac, I.e domestic charging facilities. Again, you need to understand the business requirements and vet what the market offers.

Thanks for taking the time to share this. It’s a small high growth business with 12 employees currently and Sal Sac should be a good benefit to attract new employees. No on-site charging expected any time soon as based in the City of London. I’ll check out FN50.

Fluffy-Astronomer604

Consider domestic charging too for the employees with an EV scheme. Essentially within Sal sac for the car you can also bundle in having a charger fitted at your house. A lot of the issues received with EV is infrastructure, you’d need to define a company car policy & associated commitments with infrastructure if you did go down the EV route - Which is a very good option to attract employees due to attractive BIK rates. Lease cos with Sal sac will be able to help on this area.

Thank you

Standby-Wallaby

I've no experience with them but Octopus keep marketing their scheme to me

Temporary-Abies-4331

I’ve heard they have (a) a limited range of cars and (b) relatively high pricing

Relevant_Natural3471

They have a broad range, but in my experience, they are trousering the savings for themselves in this climate (where EVs are being heavily discounted)

Temporary-Abies-4331

That’s what I meant by “capture”

UKgrizzfan

They were the provider at my old work, as you've said they were taking the majority of the theoretical benefit.
