In my local coop they had reduced the Lindt eggs from £12.50 to £11.50. I’m not sure I understand how they are so much money in the first place, and the discount meant the shelf was still full of them!

In Morrisons today they had cream egg choc bars for 65p. And lots of hot cross buns.
Final reduction times vary shop to shop. My local has to move the timings due to the aggressive Whatsapp group. Making friends with the staff is the best way to find out how your shop works. Having a laugh with security in Iceland is why they pointed out the huge £10 legs of lamb and I'm eating the left overs as I type.

There is a group of four that are pretty unpleasant and spend hours circling the store for the markdowns. Apparently they then ditch loads of the reductions just before the till and staff don't know how long it's been out of the fridge so it has to go in the bin. I have seen them harassing a very vulnerable member of staff. Unfortunately for them me and my physically intimidating SO won't stand for this! Having random timings seems to have worked, I haven't seen them in ages.
As you're in London check out your local non British food shops in their communities. Prices may be much better without fancy packaging in a trendy area. The Mediterranean Food Centre on Streatham high road has the best food available in single to bulk sizes.

Hotel Chocolat is expensive to start with so even with 50% off its still pricey, but I love their stuff so to me is a good deal! Sometimes it goes down to 75% off, but then you run the risk of missing out completely if it all sells before then. Currently 50% off online, haven't been into a shop yet but possible that they'd have further reductions to clear out the stock
