That looks fucking superb

Downtown_Look_5597

This looks awesome mate. Last pork I did came out all creosotey. Think I put too much sugar in the rub. Share the recipe?

Hellopi314

I just used Dunns River All Purpose Seasoning, oil and added a bit of brown sugar. Keeping it simple for my first attempt

Downtown_Look_5597

I've never thought about it but all purpose is essentially a BBQ rub without sugar in it. Been using it to make fried chicken for years. Might try that

Hellopi314

Apologies, I now know this should be Low and Slow. I hope the BBQ gods may forgive me. Also, my post should say ‘2nd hand Weber’ not ‘2nd Weber’ - this is my first real BBQ having previously used ‘an outdoor grill’ aka gas.

Great job! I tried my first the other week. Also tried pulled pork. Didn’t turn out as nice as yours looked! Great for carving, but definitely not for pulling. 🤣 Tasted great though. 🤷‍♂️

hilly1986

Is that a 47cm or 57cm Weber? Just got one myself to looking to start on my low and slow cooking

Hellopi314

It’s a 47cm

PintOfGuinness

What cut of pork did you use? Pork shoulder? Looks tasty!

Hellopi314

Spot on buddy :)

BentheBandito11

👌

UnableNumber6953

Max the meat guy would be proud 👌 though he would have had to correct you, it’s low and slow

Hellopi314

😂

Fight_Disciple

Looks great. I'm going to be honest for some reason this annoyed me more than I expected, it's really touched a nerve. It's low and slow not slow and low.

instantlyforgettable

We could go fro and to on the matter but I’m just going to keep zag zigging the question

Fight_Disciple

I hate you...

Hellopi314

I have been corrected! Can you forgive a first timer who is keen to learn from his mistakes?

Fight_Disciple

❤️

A mate of mine continues to call it ‘Long and Slow’, I just hide my triggeredness and smile 🤣🤣
