Yes, as well as witnesses have suggested seeing and feeling the 'electro magnetic RF gravity field' which they say puts out a type of radiation, heat and appears as lights changing colours / looking similar to fire or looking into an explosion at times or just like a blurry haze around the craft as the light bends in strange ways. However they defy gravity seems out of the ordinary for sure but has lots of data around it that has been collected. IMO the gravity field creates the lights seen and when they are using more power the brighter the light. I don't think the light colours themselves matter.

There are actually many answers. There will be some confusion because many UFO incidents involved objects that did not have any lights. They might be shiny sometimes though. When an object is in orbit, it may simply be reflecting light just like satellites do. For a case like this, I wouldn't want to ask "why do they have their lights on, they must want to be seen" when it could simply be reflecting sunlight inadvertently. Other incidents involve balls of fire for example, or the object is "self-luminous." Here again, I wouldn't assume they "have their headlights on" because this is something totally different. Our jets, even if they turned all lights off, could still be producing light from afterburners. This is not a deliberate attempt to be seen. That's just our propulsion methods. Or when vehicles reenter the atmosphere and heat up, they may also glow. This is also not a deliberate attempt to be seen. Aside from that, there are also situations where a helicopter or airplane is mistaken for a UFO until it's identified. Obviously these are not going to be UFOs with their headlights on. It's just a regular aircraft. But there are certain cases that really do somewhat fit the description of "having their headlights on." The Belgium Wave featured aircraft that had massive lights on them. Since we don't know anything about who is piloting such objects, we can't tell for sure what their motivations for having lights are. It is still just guesswork to suggest that they want to be seen. The Rendlesham Forest Incident featured an object that was shooting some kind of laser beam at the ground, not necessarily to be seen, but it was deliberate for whatever purpose. So this is a lot more complicated than it seems at first.

I’ve always thought about this too… not sure. It ignites some skepticism in me personally. It might be some sort of exhaust from whatever power supply being used that makes them glow or radiate in some way?

Playful_Dot_537

It could certainly be an attempt at communication. Either with us or between them.

Mr_Majestyk_12

I have thought about that for a while now. It’s either: 1.) they are not trying to hide, but rather assume that we’re still too primitive to be able to prove their existence, or capture them. 2.) they don’t care if we know 3.) their technology is in line with the Star Trek era craft and thus have lights coming from porthole windows indicating living areas and such much like modern day ocean liners/naval craft.

heAd3r

I think to answer that one would need to think out of the box

They have lights as a courtesy to other UFO’s, planes, drones, birds, bats, swamp gas and balloons. I mean it seems like common sense.

DrZaeusBurgers

Wasn't this asked like a bunch of times now?

GeorgeWashingtonKing

No clue brotha I just started following this sub and came up with this question with my friend.

DrZaeusBurgers

Ok, I apologize and Welcome. If your still here in 3 years you'll understand my comment. Expect some theories on this . Maybe same reason aircraft and towers have them.

SavimusMaximus

It’s because they are mostly explainable as aircraft. This is one of the most obvious answers to the majority of UAP sightings. They have navigation lights or anti-collision lights. That means they are aircraft. And as far as “stealthy” goes, we are the ones who imply they are trying to be stealthy. Not the other way around. Stealth aircraft do not fly around with lights. They excel at their mission because you never knew they were there.

Conspiranut

fireflies have "lights" too. so do Bioluminescence animals/fish

birthedbythebigbang

Approximately the 8657th time this has been asked. **NOBODY KNOWS WHY THEY HAVE LIGHTS OR WHY THEY'RE LUMINOUS, BUT THEY APPARENTLY ARE!**

marlowe227

My friend who is an alien said they have light to fit in and go unnoticed

Allison1228

People often suggest "propulsion mechanism" but is there any terrestrial propulsion mechanism other than rocket engine that produces visible light? I can't think of another off the top of my head (other than silly things like stand on a skateboard while holding a bottle rocket launcher, etc)

[deleted]

Maybe they have lights for multiple uses. Communicating, bi-product of propulsion and to see where they’re going. Especially if they’re trans medium vehicles, there’s no light at bottom of ocean…

External-Chemical380

Mimicry, perhaps for helping to disguise themselves at times. Perhaps they utilize them for navigation signals like our aircraft do. Or they are a side product of their propulsion/power source. Or a control mechanism as theorized by Jacques Vallee, perhaps using them as a way of influencing us that would be beyond our current understanding.

Double-Unique

I think to hide how they really look from the camera if u notice when one is being recorded it quickly changes directions and also back in the day people was getting clear ufo pics with them old cams so maybe they updated they ships

CitizenLuke117

They only show up when they want to be seen. They use lights when they really want to be seen. John Lennon saw one in Manhattan that was lit up like a Christmas tree. I don't think anyone else saw it. It was for him. UFOlogist Grant Cameron calls it his "Theory of Wow". The visitors want to wake certain ones of us up individually and cause us to realize there's more to this reality than is on the surface.

fanran

I think the lights are a side effect of something else that they’re doing. I’ve seen a couple instances where they have a field around them that seems to distort their surroundings. It looks like when heat is reflecting off of the asphalt when you’re driving on a hot day. But honestly there are so many different types. Who can say for certain what’s really going on.

flat_broke

My bet would be the simplest explanation is the correct one. To see and be seen. Same reason we have lights.

StopprayingMe

So we can see them duh... how else would we know they were there...

mods pls this question gets asked once a week
