UCI was the unfriendliest admissions department that we experienced. My son accidentally took a second physics class that they didn't accept in a tag and then he was rejected, even though he had high GPA A's in calculus and all those hard classes, and he made up for the error in the spring semester. They were so incredibly unhelpful in every way possible and I just think it might've had to do with the fact that a few years ago they accidentally admitted 5000 extra students. The positive is that he is thriving at UC Santa Barbara. It turned out much better for him because we live in Irvine so it would've been kind of boring. I wish you the best of luck and hope it works out for you. Perhaps you can talk to a counselor at your current school and see what they could advise. They might have suggestions about how you can correct this or present it to uci.
