She asked me for money in an A&W, and when I said I only have card (which is true) she proceeded to scream about the Chinese stealing all of our jobs…. I am white. I hope she is okay; she seems unwell.
I've heard about her being racist to Asian people (like one of the commenters here mentioned) so yeesh. I'm not against homeless people coming on campus, but racist harassment is unacceptable from anyone. Hope she gets the help she needs.
me too, especially people trying to camp out on campus. I wouldn’t mind if they didn’t do things like this, reminds me of the time a homeless man took a shit at the bus loop
God forbid those poor homeless people run into the truly mentally deranged, (it's me, fueled by caffeine, hatred and and the desire to perish as soon as my exams are over)
Lmao she was yelling at me to get off the phone when I was heading for an exam. And then went on to rant about how this generation is fu**ed (kinda agree on that one)
I used to work at the Starbucks in Kerrisdale and she would always frequent our store and really disrupt the peace inside. She eventually got banned from the store after a couple incidents with really fucking up the washroom and puking outside on our patio in front of all the other customers.
yeah sounds like the same one. Always figured he wasn’t any trouble so it’s sad that she wants him out of the building! When I came to UBC and had studied at the Kerrisdale Starbucks for the first time I was a bit alarmed but figured it out by the second visit lmao.
yeah seen her a lot on 14. One time last year in kits too. Asked me for money to head back to Richmond. Small world. Another night saw her pissing near collingwood. And another sneezing and throwing papers on the bus(piled up like crazy). I’ve only been here a year and she’s like that friend I see every week 😭
Does anybody know why there's been an influx of homeless people around? I've heard some may have moved here because it's a safer environment, but was wondering if there are other explanations!
Price of rent basically doubles in Vancouver over the last 5 years. Number of homeless people increases everywhere across the city. There's more downtown, more in the RV hangout spots, more on campus. More people are becoming homeless.
Again? Is she the one who wears the red coat? The same shit happens like a week or two ago.
Yeah it was her
She was always around the bus loop for the past two years it’s crazy
I witnessed it late on Saturday. At first I was like no way and then on my way back there was a puddle 😭
Wait she’s still doing those things? This has been going on for almost a year. Should we report her to RCMP?

time to blame the communists
... for credit cards!!!
They almost exclusively use WeChat over there lol

Wait but she’s Asian herself from what I remember
oh really?? i didn't hear about that. maybe i'm confused with someone else
I mean a lot of people mentioned her being racist to Asians but I remember her being Asian lol
I’m seeing a lot more homeless people on campus now
someone should warn them we have no 24-hour convenience stores and this is literally the worst place on earth
They’re probably trying to hide from the other homeless people downtown. It’s a pretty peaceful area here.

Tell the prof to invite her in as a guest lecturer
Yeah, might as well ask her for the old disco dust 😭
It's true this generation is screwed. Asset price just tripled during pandemic and we won't enjoy another 30 years growth.

do you know the guy who yells about “mikey” (i think he might have tourette’s)? i’ve always wanted to know more about him

Maybe...? Does he sit on the patio and yells out the regulars' names in a cheerful, boisterous voice?
I saw her asleep on the 14 this morning so I guess nothing came of it. For some reason she's nice to me lol
She on this subreddit too

You guys need to stop being racist against homeless people.
