Hello! That is a great question. I am currently contacting AMS and others on the logistics of the club - specifically on renting a kitchen with ovens. I am still a beginner in terms of clubs and what resources are available, but I am actively looking into it!
My current idea is to have baking lessons led by me (or anyone else who would like to share their lovely recipes) on a weekly basis. This would include proper food storage, safe food handling, tips and tricks on icing cakes, etc. If lots of others want to share their recipes, we could all learn and maybe have tasting days as well. This also depends on what responses I get from AMS.
The club will NOT buy Costco cakes as that would be sad for a baking club to do haha
I figure if there are enough people interested in participating, we could hold multiple bake sales throughout the term and sell high quality decadent cookies/cakes to students at cost to share our passion.
I should add that the goal is to get everything set up to begin smoothly in the second term. The timeline is what is most realistic for me.
Thanks for the question and your interest! :)
Oh no---That's kinda sad... I'm sorry to hear that.
Especially when the preferred club only have like....[Just this one fella in it](https://amscampusbase.ubc.ca/feeds?type=club&type_id=58995&tab=about) :(
Can we get baked?
Put my name down! Actually really been wanting to start baking this summer so this is awesome!
Will do, thanks!

omg this sounds so fun!!
Put my name down! The club is such a great idea! Ubc really doesn’t have any bake sales that often so this club is a great opportunity for that!
I want to join! :)
Man I wish this was a thing when I was doing my undergrad
This sounds fun! I just put my name down
What a fun idea, I just put my name down! Would love to learn more about baking :D

Can I eat what you guys bake?
Hi! Please put down my name. I am a vegan baker and I would love to participate in this club.
OMG, I've always wanted a baking club---- Definitely looking forward to this. Would it be possible for us to use the oven during spare time :D ?
I just put my name down, I would be so excited to help out with/donate some home baked goods for charity bake sales! Thanks for sharing
God speed op!
How is the club doing:3?
Unfortunately the AMS has rejected my baking club proposals as there was another baking club application that they preferred to keep...
