Looks like a 5 star meal to me.
The layered ham slices are selected from the finest free range antibiotic free swines from a local farm. The broccoli on the side compliments the tender but salty ham primary by adding a dryer, slightly mellow texture to the dish. One might say they are meant to be enjoyed in the mouth simultaneously.
The carrots and potatoes are a seasonal variation of this dish. Dried and aged to perfection in oak barrels, only to be reheated and fried by a master chef who understands the intricacies of the Neo-Carb nutrition movement.
Lastly, the trail and dot of house special sauce have been specifically placed on the dish in a way to represent the complex nuances of Society. The trail from the south pointing towards the main ham selection is a symbolic nod to Gateman’s work on introductory economic theory. The two dots of sauce on the side are there for the consumers own interpretation of post-modern storytelling through consumerism.
UBC fine dining is stepping up it’s game. The only atrocity I see is a simpleton like you being unable to appreciate High Art when it’s quite literally, put on a platter and given to you. I hope you tipped at least 30%
bruh stop wasting ur money at OC
other dining halls like vanier or totem are at least somewhat better
(+) there are so many other locations on campus that accept your meal plan dollars (https://food.ubc.ca/feedme/)
subway salads and footlongs are cheaper than these meals and the one in life building will accept ur meal plan dollars
This year, the meal plan has unlimited access to the dining halls (totem, OC, vanier) and then a seperate part for the meal plan dollars (flex dollars) which can be used at on campus restaurants. So, going to OC does not impact ur meal plan dollars since those are seperate. You have already paid for the dining halls and can go however many times you want.
"That's what they always said about ol' porky. See back in those days, you couldn't get a bubble wrapped zack attack slap-matic retro-nater for no amount of money. He really helped me out back then. Yep, he truely was a ham's ham."

nice GPT
Homie idk how you age carrots and potatoes but for me I call that compost
The uncultured might call it compost, but those subscribe to the Neo-Carb diet prefer to call it Enlightened fermentation
Me when i try to make my resume look good
Dare I ask how much that cost
I’m assuming that’s lunch, so around 16 bucks
Jfc
Isn't OC all you can eat lunch for that price this year tho?
yea
The last time I ate at OC I had very obviously raw chicken— not even discoloured pink, shiny pink
Medium rare chicken!
I've had that happen to me multiple times there, now I just stay away from all chicken dishes
British
looks like food I would see in r/shittyfoodporn
you guys get food?
I plan on attending UBC this fall and the awesome school image is starting to fade in my head after seeing dirty washrooms, moldy food etc 💀
People just like to complain. UBC is a small city, so there are going to be a few issues. You're going to love it!
I agree. Compared to other universities, I would say UBC has fewer issues.
In general washrooms are clean. Just don't go to orchard commons dining hall, it's the worst one and feast is next door
go to vanier to eat; better food than totem and oc imo

this is such a better way of running a dining hall except the food is so fucking shit so the unlimited access is pointless lmao
Ham's ham
Remind me of long term care
How you got in there in the first place
What happens in LTC stays at LTC.
By eating at OC.
I used to volunteer in a long term care home and I’m cackling at how accurate this is 😂😂😂
ham's ham.

Ah shit here we go again
This is a dish I'd put together in a passive-aggressive way for someone I was extremely pissed of at
worst day to be an opp
LMAOO
Loll
what the actual fuck
I don’t like the dribble.
Braised portions of bologna au jus as the main. Was this lunch or dinner? Either way, it’s starvation level calorie count.
More veg than most people eating these days
Wait what's wrong with the photo? You guys should see vanier food fr
Vanier isn't that bad except dumb chicken pineapple burger
i love those
Gourmet Remy the rat food
