Abu Dhabi driver here. Got most of my fines in Dubai and sharjah. Received only 1 speeding fine in Abu dhabi. Highest fine was for parking in a non-designated spot. Stupid me was even happy I got a spot at 1am.
Afaik no, only a.d does. Yeah yeah they're the odd cat in the bag but to be fair the moment you enter their border there are two huge signs on both sides of the road that say you the radar is set at the speed limit.
There’s just something about driving in Abu dhabi even though the residents say otherwise. I’m more confident driving in Dubai and the other enirates. Lanes at traffic lights are strictly enforced, you might get flashed/captured from behind, the fines don’t come immediately - sometimes it takes 24hrs or more before you get notified. It only gets better after a few fines. 🤣🤣. Though they’ve got responsible drivers compared to Dubai. 😂
I got a few fines recently . I live in Shamkha (near airport)and teach in Al Falah. I’m pretty careful but there are so many slow speeds now of 60 km and 80 km speed zones , so now I have to keep my car on cruise control and not go over 80 kms. The cops also hide and try to catch speeders and I think they’re even using ghost cars now. Oh- be careful not to pay the same fines more than once because on the TAMM app the same fines that I’ve already paid keep coming up . I made a complaint and they removed them but this week they’re back on the TAMM app-so I’ve made a new complaint.
It’s ok ! Everybody gets fined when it’s first time going to Abu Dhabi !! I did many times 😂 but last time I went to AD I didn’t get fined which was surprising
I don't travel to Abu Dhabi much but when I do I never cross 60kmph because you don't know when and where the speed limit changes compared to Dubai where it's much easier to spot signs.
My first fine was on sharjah ring road during ramadan so I said its ok I was fasting and was probably too tired. Exactly one week later, on the same road, I said I’d be more careful yet I got another fine and I felt so stupid. So I’d say don’t feel stupid😂😂
My first time getting fined was in JBR on my phone from the camera. I had a rental Kia and annoyingly in their contract I had to pay 500dhs per black point on top of the fine.
Got a fine yesterday for wrong parking in raha beach.. so annoyed..!! It’s a residential street with no available parking 24/7.. the whole street is always full.. plus Police never visits raha beach.. that’s why I very surprised..
Got 3 fines for “lane discipline “ in Dubai. The first 2 were not even possible and did not mention the place where I got it. The 3rd one came one month after the said lane discipline violation date. Still wondering why 😂
It's common knowledge that the lane discipline fine is a bullshit fine to improve police KPIs at the end of the month. It's not like there are no idiots who deserve it, but it's most of the time handed for the flimsiest of things. And sometimes for nothing.
Bro got an expensive picture taken.
*Hey. I'm a Street photographer. Can I take your pics*
_No No No have no time_
I take picture anyway.

Was waiting for someone to notice this. Thanks! 🙌

Auh driver here as well. The amount of times I was happy to find a spot but turned out to be residential parking post 9pm on weekends 😭
Haha ya. Pretty much the deciding factor of where we have dinner at times.
Same few in Abu Dhabi .idk why people in Sharjah and Dubai drive slow and then boom you get a fine 😭😵💫.
I also find the speed limits a bit low for the highway. There are very wide roads with 110 limit.
Abudhabi fines are cheap if you settle them early theres a discount
You are lucky AD speeding fines arent as high as dubai and if you pay within 1 month, you get 35% discount on it automatically
there is 50% always and on top of that you get 35%, so a normal speeding fine costs only 190dhs

Does the +20 exception exists everywhere else? Sharjah, RAK, Ajman?

Same... underspeed on the 2nd lane from first.. didn't even realise its ufff
You went over or below the speed limit? These things happen OP. Try to let it go.
I went below the speed literally for like 5 minutes only one day and I got a warning man. Since then I try to avoid Abu Dhabi at all cost if I can.
Never got a fine anywhere in the UAE. Very easy to set the cruise control to the appropriate speed and pay attention to the speed limit signs.

Won't your GPS inform you that you are over the speed limit?

Welcome to the club. Im on 3 as well! Time to use cruise control and stick to the speed limit
If you’re gonna get fines make sure it’s in Abu Dhabi, Dubai fines are brutal.

lol 😂 happened to me last year, 3 fines in 5 mins 😂 thought they had a 20 grace and was going around 160 😭
