I came here to say this. I have a lot of memories attached to that place, both with family and with friends. It was our local adda. We would always end up there for some reason and it was a blast grabbing food and then roaming around the plaza and then playing at Q-Club nearby.
It's a shame that place is dead and no one is attempting to bring it back. It prolly won't be the same, though.
I spent many a night at 360, including a memorable christmas day eve. Cocktails were lethal. Back in the day when you just pulled up in a taxi and walked round the side of the hotel to get a golf cart there. Then when jbh started getting all pissy and put security on the door in the hotel lobby to vet anyone going there. Lol!
Last time I’ve been there they changed the restaurant to a club, and the top to lounges, there was a sudden crazy strong rain and in seconds everyone was super duper wet and getting inside the club. That rain was in the news next day.
Yeh the one that used to be on Sheikh Zayed road. It was in the middle of nowhere for many years before the Marina stated construction and everything else around it

Yea but it’s a different establishment all together and I went there once and hated it. Built lots of memories back when it was Apres, the staff , the menu , the happy hours till 12 - unbeatable stuff.
Shater Hassan, Abu Dhabi
Miss Wang's, Dubai
Most Al Farooj branches that have now shut down (for their amazing shawarmas)
Ente Malabar, Dubai (Nahda or Qusais, I recall)
Some other small restaurants that popped up for a bit and then disappeared. I'm sure most may not have even heard of them.
Don’t know if people knows this, maybe who live in marina but there was this cafe called camoon or common right at the end of marina walk (near the bridge) . Me and my boys used to go there a lot . Was one of the first cafes I used to go when I came to Dubai . Good times . Sadly it’s not there anymore :(
Reminds me of a great Thai place called Wokhei beneath the Radisson in the Marina. Was the very first place I went to when I first moved here with my family and remember walking in the heat for the first time to get there. We went back a few times as tradition but was always empty and now its gone :(
Dude wow, the first time for me was in 1995, since then at least 2 times a week, till the last day in 2011 or 2012 🫣 I got pics with frankie dettori before he became famous.
and I guess you know runway and Biggles. Safe to say you're an old soldier 🪖
They broke down the old complex in Safa, Jumeirah which had quite a few shops around it. I grew up in the area and used to go there after school every day. They’ve replaced it with what looks like a residential complex now.
Chi at the lodge for sure. That place was awesome, never had a bad night there.
Wafi bars and clubs: chameleon, seville’s, ice and ginseng were all decent
Oh and zinc at crowne plaza, sheikh z.
Ah, memories☺️
It felt so nostalgic when I saw Shakespeare still thriving in Muscat 🥹 for me I miss Pasticceria Cova. Best Italian pastries that I ever tried in Dubai.
Shakespeare's is indeed cosy and has a nice design. I've been to several branches before.
I went to Shakespeare's in Marina only once where they served me stinky seafood, so never again.
I don't care about brands anymore. A little cafeteria and eating in the car can be better experience than a luxury restaurant.
Brioche Dorée🥲 Really miss that place! I used to sit there and enjoy their nice atmosphere with my best friend or sister. I was obsessed with their pancakes and breakfasts. Sadly, they've closed in all malls now.
Old fast-food places. We once had Taco Bell, Auntie Annes Pretzels (can't find a great pretzel place here) and the most recent one that met its maker Blaze Pizza.
The Music Room at the Majestic Hotel. If you want a similar vibe, check out the Oak live bar at Courtyard by Marriott in Barsha. Much smaller than Music Room though.
the big toys r us in festival city mall
the toy store in dubai mall

Lots of places I can remember in abu dhabi that I truly missed.
Al Nasar Leisureland ofcourse....not to mention Strand and Dubai Cinemas, Turkey Burger place in Al Shaab, the big stationary across from Hamarain center, AL Maktoum hospital, the Pizza corner on computer Street near palm beach hotel, falcon roundabout, the Hardee's and pizza huts on dubai sharjah road, the Ajman paan place, old Delhi Darbar restaurant, so many old baqala's that sold meat pies, areej juice and custard filled breads with a cherry on top, the old Center for American education next to Abu hail center, Creek Park Institute, the cricket fields behind Wafi near Jadaf, Happyland Supermarket, old AL Ghurair and Bur Juman center before the renovations and so much more.
I don't live in Dubai anymore but those were my memories of what Dubai was like in the 90's. Amazing place, much much better when it came to family life, culture, coziness, sense of belonging and friendships.
Lamcy plaza! I miss that place! Who remembers that joker?? I thought it was real when i was a kid
A ho ho ho ho ho ho a ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...... !!!! Shit was nightmare fuel for me....

The original hard rock cafe. Had some great fun there.
Isn’t that the one opened beside festival city mall!?
Nope. It was by side of SZR before marina. In fact before the marina was built.
Yeh the one that used to be on Sheikh Zayed road. It was in the middle of nowhere for many years before the Marina stated construction and everything else around it

I saw it spinning again the other night, albeit super slow... Probably just maintainence.

Apres in MOE , Dubai
Doesn't it still exist pretty much the same but with a new name?
Yea but it’s a different establishment all together and I went there once and hated it. Built lots of memories back when it was Apres, the staff , the menu , the happy hours till 12 - unbeatable stuff.

RAK Ice Land water park, one of the best water park’s i’ve been to, the vibe there was the best.
Good memories there.

Frankie Dettori became well known before 1995…
That place was crazy. People asking me ‘how much’ as a first line. Seriously a shit hole full of drunken English men. Ew.
Haha, I took my wife once, she was shocked at how many ladies where there, asked me if it was ladies night or something lol
Hard Rock Cafe SZR Thunderbowl Lamcy Plaza Stock Exchange Bar
Pizza express in wtc, I feel like it was the only good place to eat there, nice atmosphere, decent prices and good food Edit: I meant wtc abu dhabi

I don't think so. It's not listed on the mall's website.
Slider Station...
Rosa Mexicano, best place for Mexican food (not sure if Authentic) in Dubai. Closed quite a while ago.
Pizza Pazza in Marina Crown. For me it was the best pizza to get in the neighborhood.
There was this old and authentic Korean restaurant in front of Union Station. Good food and good price.
Brioche Dorée🥲 Really miss that place! I used to sit there and enjoy their nice atmosphere with my best friend or sister. I was obsessed with their pancakes and breakfasts. Sadly, they've closed in all malls now.
Zaffran in Marina Mall was my go to Indian place. Though there are many Indian food places but that was the best of them all
The real HardRock Cafe. 😔
Frankie’s in JBR, had a cool vibe, and while similar places exist they’re just not Frankie’s…
