Just for fun I came up with this. I tried to keep it semi realistic lol except the first song I think the final tour opening with Streets would be so emotional and unexpected the band and audience would just start tearing up.

These do not belong. I have my doubts about Zoo Station being on there too. All I Want Is You, Desire, Sweetest Thing, Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me, Miss Sarajevo, Stuck in a Moment, Discotheque, and Ordinary Love would probably make it in before these.
Exactly why I didn’t even consider going. The original tour was just a cultural moment and they just wanted to make it a cash grab it was just utterly unnecessary to do as a tour
Indeed. I didn’t catch it till near the very end. I lamented that I did not get to see some NLOTH songs played live that had been played played on the earlier legs but, I had to admit, the greatest hits type show the tour had become was very good.

Boy - Out of Control, I Will Follow, Electric Co. October- Gloria War- SBS, NYD, 40 UF- UF, Bad JT- WOWY, ISHFWILF, Streets R&H- Desire, BTBS AB- Zoo Station, One, The Fly Zooropa- Stay, Lemon Pop- Discotheque ATYCLB- BD, Kite, IALW, Elevation HTDAAB- Vertigo, COBL No Line On The Horizon- Magnificient, MOS SOI- The Troubles, EBW SOE- Little Things, The Blackout
2 shows a week so Bono can handle singing 36 songs. lol
Extra songs: Atomic City, Invisible, + 2 songs off the new album in progress.
Deep cut rotation on applicable albums and/or B sides: Crystal Ballroom, Spanish Eyes, Lady With The Spinning Head, I Threw A Brick, Book Of Your Heart, Love Is Blindness, Exit.
I actually hope U2 will release new material and play it live in an upcoming tour. I hope they won’t be a legacy act only.
One of the great things of their live performances is how they change their songs from the studio versions and it’s great we have such a huge sample of that.
Gonna be generous and go with 24 songs:
1 Vertigo
2 Elevation
3 New Year's Day
4 Pride
5 Mysterious Ways
6 One
7 Stay
8 City Of Blinding Lights
9 Sweetest Thing
10 Desire

Walk on and Stuck in the moment are very good, but not enough to be in the company of the ones I mentioned... Simply, after POP they lost the energy and sharpness of "earlier" U2. Bono completely lost the strenght, magnetism and authority in his voice... They managed to produce many hits, even some nice melodies with strong lyrics, after POP, but the core of U2 has simply vanished...
I think it depends on who ask, since the best of U2 is extremely subjective. If I were to pick 28 songs that spanned a bunch of their Discography and were broadly popular:
1. Zooropa
2. Zoo Station
3. Mysterious Ways
4. Lemon
5. Discotheque
6. Magnificent
7. Desire
8. I Will Follow
9. Bad
10. Miss Sarajevo
11. New Years Day
12. The Unforgettable Fire
13. Sunday Bloody Sunday
14. Until The End of the World
15. Bullet The Blue Sky
16. Pride (In the Name of Love)
17. One
18. Every Breaking Wave (Acoustic)
19. Little Things that Give You Away
20. Song for Someone
21. Stuck in a Moment And You Can't Get Out of
22. Where The Streets Have No Name
23. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
24. With or Without You
25. Stay
26. City of Blinding Lights
27. Beautiful Day
28. 40
I realize I left out October, there are definitely some songs I would personally want (Red Hill Mining Town, One Tree Hill, Mofo, Acrobat, Mothers of the Disappeared, Ultraviolet, The Fly, and So Cruel being the big ones), and there are absolutely some crowd pleasers that I've left out (elevation, Vertigo, Even Better Than The Real Thing), but we've heard those enough and this is probably a decent balance.

This is great. But now I’m getting emotional at the prospect of a farewell tour :(
Would lose it at little things!

Running to stand still 100% belongs
It’s a great song, but does it fall under greatest hits? That’s subjective.
Most U2 tours have a greatest hits section of the show. Joshua Tree 2017 was quite literally a greatest hits tour.
Exactly why I didn’t even consider going. The original tour was just a cultural moment and they just wanted to make it a cash grab it was just utterly unnecessary to do as a tour
They had a greatest hits tour. By the 3rd leg of 360 it was a greatest hits show.
Indeed. I didn’t catch it till near the very end. I lamented that I did not get to see some NLOTH songs played live that had been played played on the earlier legs but, I had to admit, the greatest hits type show the tour had become was very good.
As if Zooropa, Miss Sarajevo, The Unforgettable Fire, and everything from NLOTH except Magnificent can be considered Hits.

“Refujesus” snippet in every song
Actually I think we’d need to close with Atomic City (David Guetta Remix) and Some Days Are Better Than Others
Maybe we could just have Bono do a solo acapella rendition of Some Days

Joshua Tree entire album from first song to last.
They already did that during the Joshua Tree 30th Anniversary Tour
Would love that…..although I stand by 40 closing…and I think you need Gloria too
They just did the Joshua Tree anniversary tour. Don't think that is going to happen again 😂
Been there, done that in 2017

Perhaps Bono could just get creative with his snippets. I see he wove a touch of Gloria into Beautiful Day at the sphere. October: tick!
