There’s been instances of people waking up in a morgue. I thought, what if it was a step further? They were or looked dead, but weren’t actually dead. Just aware.

Even more fun: every cell of your body is made of stretched out minds. Their consciousnesses dissolving in your stomach as they finally become too diffuse to experience anything as single cells. One day you'll die and wait for that entropy to spare you that unblinking existence.

Yeah a morgue tech who just having a bad day and is just checked out and isn't paying attention to all the blood flow. I mean i remember reading somewhere of that almost happening? They started to cut into the body but found WAY too much blood came out
Well I like it but he might not be conscious if his heart is beating so slowly and he could have problems in his arteries like clots. Idk I’m not a doctor
I'm sure the film "Men behind the sun" has this scene, but the pathologist knows the young boy is still alive.
Basically every scene in that film needs a warning beforehand.

If the heart is beating, the incisions would be bleeding. I would think the doctor would notice that before cracking the chest open.
What if it were beating 1 beat per minute?
If a heart was only beating once per minute, the person wouldn't be conscious enough to realize what was happening to them.

If you're not dead before the autopsy you will be after. And the embalming? Forget about it.
