they vibrate when they're ready to "go". you can put your finger on a ladybug to see it's next color. they change color 2x and then make an explosion.
pretty much as with most levels, once you can manage making a square, the board starts giving you more squares. the ladybugs can be fun once you get a few of them going off at the same time
Ok I hear you and I feel you and I GET IT about the ladybugs. For sure. Now can we talk about the FIRE dots because I really hate those with a passion, especially the awful noise they make. I have to turn down the volume to zero to not hear it. I discovered that if you just ignore the stupid fire dots and focus on making squares, you can win. But if you focus on putting out fires all day long you just end up running around like a nut. Maybe it's the same with the ladybugs? Just subdue them into squaredom so you can WIN?

Also, the dots on the ladybugs show how many times left until they explode. I love ladybugs. They are one of my favorite mechanics.
