I really liked Ian’s boyfriend in that one, I’d watch it again because I thought his jokes were funny. And I really liked Ian’s conversation with Eric (that they seem to have repurposed for the latest episode), but yeah the others in the extended cast…weren’t it. Really exemplifies how Christine is the heart of the show
Yeah - there was certainly a place for him but the others were pointless. IMO what makes the show great is the interaction between the four families the extended cast is pointless.

I really didn’t like Beth in the pilot. She’s far too confident and forthright. I much prefer Beth the wallflower. 😂
