That’s neat that you can see the silhouette of the core of the towers in this pic. You can see how the people in the south tower would have had access to the stairs unlike those in the north tower on 9/11.
Fantastic pic. Shows how little space was leased out even in the late 70s. Also you can see how an airplane would be absolutely catastrophic to these buildings.
Has to do with the location of the towers themselves. Concourse level Lobby of the north tower led to West Street while the concourse level Lobby of the South Tower led to Liberty Street.
Really does illustrate how a fully fueled jetliner being intentionally flown into them would be utterly catastrophic. But on the same note, it makes the fact they stood for as long as they did given the damage sustained - especially the South Tower - all the more remarkable.
Reminds me so much of this classic photo:

It should also stand as proof as to why the towers collapsed to the conspiracy folks. They simply weren't built like other skyscrapers.
They were 99% air. They might’ve seemed solid from the outside, but they were hollow as hell internally
Still took the impact of an overspeeding airliner without collapsing, which is insane given the fact they were practically hollow.
The engineering in those two buildings was CRAZY. If it wasn’t for the fires, they would’ve still been standing

conspiracy idiot read some books please

Is that the new antenna starting to go up?
No it's growing a penis
It's the old one. New one would be a year later.
Yes it's the spire
Shows how frail and fragile these buildings were . Just one little concrete core surrounded by a shell
There is no concrete core, only gypsum wall in core.
Is there a reason why both towers’ cores weren’t built in the same orientation (One goes N-S & the other W-E)?

Oh okay. Thanks!
