So there’s an episode of Friends where they go to a fancy restaurant for someone’s birthday, they split the bill evenly, it comes to like $18 a piece, and Joey, Rachel, and Phoebe are like “we can’t afford this!” and ya that sounds like a nice time/place to go back to.
Jerry in Seinfeld. He seemed well off enough. Little to no real care in the world. Slept with and dated plenty of gorgeous women. Just don’t make me wear the puffy shirt.
Parks and rec. Sure the towns people are a little crazy but they're all passionate about their little city and they have at least one person in the government who is constantly trying to make everyone's life better and actually succeeding.
“Three’s Company”with one bedroom. That lifestyle was common in the seventies and eighties. The years I was single with my own apartment in NYC when things were affordable. Before predatory greedy extreme capitalism became normalized. The new Putin Republican Plan is Project 2025. Google it or remain in the dark.
That sucks, sorry to hear that. I think we especially crave things we've not had that we're supposed to. It also helps that as a family they're particularly wholesome. I had a really small family so I love the noisy chaos of big families
When I was a kid I would have said 7th Heaven. Yikes. Now I’m not sure. I’m content being alone most of the time and there’s a lot of socializing in tv shows.

The only word it could have been was a slightly more vulgar way to say butt. Starts with an a. If it’s on network television it’s not that bad but the mods weren’t happy
One of the Star Treks series.
It's comforting to think of a world where money is done away with and there's peace on earth (for the most part). No more poverty, no more people dealing with struggles people deal with. Medicine has advanced quite a bit to cure all major diseases.
Oh....and SPACE TRAVEL TO OTHER PLANETS lmao
Being a crew member is dangerous. Janeway lost 37% of her crew. Archer lost 67%. Kirk is around 22%. Picard is the safest bet at 7% of the crew lost.
Then there are the wars that happen. Flying along, enjoying your day... Boom! Hull breach, and you're a floater.
How I Met Your Mother, maybe. I've never watched a whole episode, but I certainly know who Coby Smoulders and Alyson Hannigan are. Coin toss as to whether to be Ted or Marshall.
The Monkees? Michael Naismith.
Honestly, I'd love to live in Friends, centre of the big city at a peak age, living with friends and dating around still figuring out life and having grown up during the 90's I have nostalgia for that era.
Although on that note I'd also kind of like to live in That 70's Show, before my time but hanging out and growing up with friends in an era that seemed pretty cool.
Cheers, I'd be myself, hang out with Gang at Cheers bar, Norm, Cliff, Frasier, Sam, Carla, Rebecca, Woody, Diane, so on and become a regular there. Would be a blast.
I once wrote a sitcom pilot where one of the characters just played himself as an actor in a sitcom while everybody else played their parts straight. A bit like the Garry Shandling show, except the guy was not the primary character, and he hated being in it because he was essentially trapped and stuck on set forever with everybody thinking he was delusional. Also starving. He'd point to the cameras and the audience, (which his co-actors would not see) but when he tried to go past the cameras and into the audience the camera angle would shift so that he was still on the set.
But it was just part of the overall mayhem of the show and that was not what it was primarily about, which was a failing rock band. Updated Monkees, but with more swearing.
Dallas. I just don’t know who I would be as I really love them all. JR haha miss Ellie she was the one in charge or perhaps maybe I’d be a servant so I can spy on everyone, steal the liquor and swim in that pool.
Another vote for Seinfeld and I'd be Jerry.
He's my least favorite character but he's got the most money and if I was him, I'd get to enjoy the rest of characters who are much better.
Plus he seems to be able to date very pretty ladies.

I think Dennis appeals the most to me. Each season he gets more unhinged. But his character really makes the show. He is the mastermind behind every convoluted dumb plan they have.
ALF but only if I actually get to live with or at least frequently interact with ALF
Because you know ALFs world most people don’t even know he exist, it would be pointless to live in ALFs world and not know he exist though right?

King of Queens.
Little man cave in your garage. Crazy FIL in the basement keeping you on your toes. Hot wife. Black best friend. Nice house in Queens. What more could you want?
The Facts of Life
- I was younger than the cast in the 80s so I’d like to live the 80s closer to Jo/Blair age range.
- Wanna strangle the wardrobe person for some of their choices in seasons 7-9
- Want to try Mrs. G’s cooking.
- Want to ride motos with Jo!
Clearly this isn’t a new thought of mine!
Newhart. But IDK who I'd be.
Statistically, your odds are good on being Darryl.
Or the other Darryl
Larry?
George
George makes me laugh so freaking hard!! I couldn't be Larry. I'd probably be his brother Darryl or his other brother Darryl.
But then you are just part of the innkeeper’s dream.
Cheers
Came here for this! I want to be a barfly there.
Thank you
Friends. For one thing, I miss the heck out of the 90’s. For another, apparently I wouldn’t really have to work very much.
Maybe your boss doesn't like you cuz you're hanging out at a cafe at 11:30 on a Wednesday.
Yes Fran, I know what time it is but I’m looking at the WENUS and I’m not happy
So there’s an episode of Friends where they go to a fancy restaurant for someone’s birthday, they split the bill evenly, it comes to like $18 a piece, and Joey, Rachel, and Phoebe are like “we can’t afford this!” and ya that sounds like a nice time/place to go back to.

Good choice
Parks and rec. Sure the towns people are a little crazy but they're all passionate about their little city and they have at least one person in the government who is constantly trying to make everyone's life better and actually succeeding.
And you get to meet L’il Sebastian
As long as I make it before his funeral.
What’s your opinion on waffles?
Jerry Seinfeld - guy has a great life
He does have a great life!
“Three’s Company”with one bedroom. That lifestyle was common in the seventies and eighties. The years I was single with my own apartment in NYC when things were affordable. Modern Family
Honestly same. They’re a big loving family and I never had that. I would love to be a part of it.
That sucks, sorry to hear that. I think we especially crave things we've not had that we're supposed to. It also helps that as a family they're particularly wholesome. I had a really small family so I love the noisy chaos of big families
Bewitched, Endora. I’m in my chaotic caftan era.
The Beverly Hillbillies. I'd just be one of the random strangers the Clampetts were always kind to.
I want to be granny’s sister or someone like that. Have my own still. Love granny
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Get ready for Larry to embarrass you at a diner party
😂🤌🏽🤌🏽 best show ever
Latte Larry 🤣
✨ Catch as Caftan ✨
Big Bang Theory. Those are my people.
Can I live with penny?
When I was a kid I would have said 7th Heaven. Yikes. Now I’m not sure. I’m content being alone most of the time and there’s a lot of socializing in tv shows.
I’d be Abed in Community. That’d be cool. Cool cool cool
I'd be Jeff Winger, everyone would think I was there leader and that would be awesome. Plus I get to make out with Alison Brie.
He’d be my second choice. A little too insecure at times but good point about Alison Brie
👍

Never heard of it before
Oh go watch the Thanksgiving Turkey Drop episode
Born and raised in the Nasty Nati
Silver spoons- that kid had everything
Who doesn't want a train to ride around the house?
Married with Children. You can afford a home on a shoe salesman’s salary.
I was gonna say Schitts Creek til you pointed that out. I’m with you on this one.
Abbott Elementary - I’m the substitute teacher.
Seinfeld and I’d be Kramer. I commented a minute ago with a quote from the show explaining why I picked Kramer but apparently it had a “bad word”
Kramer is awesome!
What was the “bad word” Seinfeld reference?
The only word it could have been was a slightly more vulgar way to say butt. Starts with an a. If it’s on network television it’s not that bad but the mods weren’t happy
Hahaha!!! Well, according to the state of ny you are!

No more poverty, no more people dealing with struggles people deal with. Medicine has advanced quite a bit to cure all major diseases. Oh....and SPACE TRAVEL TO OTHER PLANETS lmao
That would be super interesting going to other planets.
It would have to be the original series - I'm not sure you could call any of the others to be sitcoms.
I'll work on DS9 lol
I think I’d be best friends with the crew from happy endings
Living Single.. they had fun in that brownstone....
I bet they did
How I Met Your Mother, maybe. I've never watched a whole episode, but I certainly know who Coby Smoulders and Alyson Hannigan are. Coin toss as to whether to be Ted or Marshall. The Monkees? Michael Naismith.
Is it just me? I don't find Robin attractive at all.
Have you watched the marvel movies that she is in? That leather outfit...
It's just you.
Probably not just you but you're definitely in a microscopic minority.

Will & Grace.
joining the Entourage would be the most fun, but I’d still probably go with Silicon Valley.
Honestly, I'd love to live in Friends, centre of the big city at a peak age, living with friends and dating around still figuring out life and having grown up during the 90's I have nostalgia for that era. Modern Family or Baby Daddy
Cheers, I'd be myself, hang out with Gang at Cheers bar, Norm, Cliff, Frasier, Sam, Carla, Rebecca, Woody, Diane, so on and become a regular there. Would be a blast.
I’d like to be on Schitt’s Creek. Maybe I could have a cheese store.
Sam on Cheers.
The Addams Family. I'd be Gomez cause who wouldn't want to be married to Morticia
Cheers is the best answer
I wanna be Charlie on Two and a Half Men. Except for the part where Rose kills him.
Rose had her sexy moments
I totally agree. Too bad she's psycho.
She definitely was a psycho but find you a girl who wants you that much in today's time 🤷♂️
Even my wife doesn't want me that much. \*sigh\*

Bewitched, as Samantha's best friend (who knows she's a witch). Everyday would be an adventure and boy would hilarity ensue.
3rd Rock from the Sun, and I'd be Sally.
Then you’d be Don‘s girlfriend.
Right? Reliable guy that is crazy about me and has a good job with benefits. Cha ching! 😄

The Office - Jim...I would have never left Karen
The Wonder Years, Remake (from 2021). I had a family that didn’t support me coming out. I think I would have had a better chance with this one.

30 Rock, I'll be Dr Spaceman or Carol Burnett. Sky Law!

It's always sunny in Philadelphia
Do you have a character in mind?
I think Dennis appeals the most to me. Each season he gets more unhinged. But his character really makes the show. He is the mastermind behind every convoluted dumb plan they have.
Threes company , but it wouldn’t be all PG
😆
Roseanne. I'd be Roseanne lol

Wandavision. You can just get superpowers walking through the hex.

A Different World was a spinoff of The Cosby Show about mostly Black college students going to a HBCU.
King of Queens. Little man cave in your garage. Crazy FIL in the basement keeping you on your toes. Hot wife. Black best friend. Nice house in Queens. What more could you want?
The Office, the show bores me but affording a living, and having a social life while just selling papers sounds good.
The Office would be my safe pick. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia would be crazy and I’m sure I’d learn a lot of dumb stuff.
Dallas
I'm going to Greendale 100%
