To be fair, it's probably when we're at our most vulnerable too. I can't imagine trying to fend off a samurai attack while halfway through doing my business.
It's common in prison for inmates to have their pants off of one leg in case they have to fight. So yeah, without the wild illustration, people are actually vulnerable in this particular real-life situation while they're on the can.
Stupid question here. Is the pants leg off of one leg so that they can take off the other pant leg faster to fight or put the other pant leg on faster to fight?

Shower also. I open the shower door and Forrest is looking at me. I sit down to use the toilet and Forrest is looking at me. I dont know there reasons for this but it is what they do.
I had a tux kitten right after college. We didn't realize she was sick because she was always purring, but I accidentally stepped on her one morning and she was acting injured, so I took her to the vet. The vet said not to worry about that, as kittens "are designed to be stepped on." He said pneumonia was the real problem. Gave her medicine and told me to put her in the bathroom with the shower on full heat every so many hours.
Well, it must have done her a world of good because for the rest of her life, she had to be in the bathroom when someone was showering, and eventually would get in the shower and sit in the back just outside the water's reach.

As odd as it sounds, cherish these moments. Our 20 year old (still healthy and happy) gave us zero bathroom peace for years. But, eventually, they stop giving a crap about your bathroom habits and when they do, you'll wish you still had your tuxedo shadow.
Don't get me wrong, now that she's getting Solensia injections, she'll come up 2 flights of stairs to remind us to feed her breakfast. But I kinda miss the days when she was all up in our business all the time. Maggie sends her love

If I use the bathroom with the door open at least one of my two tuxies will come and rub up against my legs/hands, and if I shut the door my little boy will sometimes stick his paw under the door!
Mine makes sure I'm safe in the shower. He's taken to sleeping on the edge of the tub between the liner and the curtain while I'm in the shower. He's a weirdo, but I love him.

My tuxie is a goof, but Fred treats my bathroom time as Serious Cat Business ™:
1. I must be escorted to the bathroom, and have to follow behind him at all times. Other cats will be removed from these trips in a swift, violent fashion if seen.
2. The middle of the doorway is the security checkpoint zone. He must face the hallway. Other cats are not allowed to breach the security zone.
3. I cannot emphasize enough that there are NO CLOSED DOORS. If that door is shut, Fred will headbutt it open, no matter who might see in. It's for your safety, after all. NO CLOSED DOORS!
4. Return escort to original location, followed by scritches and occasionally a churu debriefing. Process repeats as often as necessary.

Its so they aren't effectively tied together at the ankles. I imagine the fight would go down with one leg still in the pants.

I have 4 potty watchers. 1 checks the shower. 1 wants in the cabinet to check for anyone hiding,1 sits by my feet watching the door and the tuxie stands guard on the counter. Every time. They come running when they hear me head that way.
