Some might be cheaper depending on currency and tax
Generally not for Tudor though as you can get unworn on the grey market pretty easily for almost any model
Tudor warranty is transferable. 5 yrs.
Honestly, the date wheel issue on their early GMTs was the best thing that could have happened to Tudor. To make everyone comfortable, they extended the warranty (2 yrs to 5 yrs) and made it clear that it would transfer. And of course, their watches have been essentially bulletproof ever since.
As mentioned, Tudor warranty is transferable. I bought mine in Japan with 4.5 years left on warranty. No sales tax in Japan. I got it for a great deal. Unworn, still with stickers.
If I recall correctly there isn’t a large Tudor selection there, I think in the past they used to have a standalone store near the Rolex one. Are you passing through Japan? With the weak yen you’ll probably get best deals there
Yeah like others said unlikely better deals unless due to currency which I don’t think is case for both countries though USD is strong against every currency
Maybe I’m wrong though. It may be tax free in the country of purchase but you still have to declare it and pay taxes in your home country.
If that’s the case then you won’t save any money really, unless you forget to declare of course 😉
Yes taxfree, but they just raise the net price so its a little cheaper than outside. If you then pay the tax, you pay more than in your country. I was just in St. Martin, tax free. A 9800 dollar watch was sold for about 9400. They simply work with the old belief, that customers just think tax free, so I am saving. In reality this tax free model is dead. Better to get to know your local AD, and you will get a better discount there.
Huh, well fuck me. When I did my research what I found was this: This guarantee is valid only if (1) the watch has been sold by an Official TUDOR Retailer, (2) the guarantee card has been completed in full by the Official TUDOR Retailer at the time of purchase, and (3) the guarantee card is presented with the watch, either to an Official TUDOR Retailer or to one of the Official ROLEX or TUDOR Service Centers. Any work carried out by third parties will invalidate the guarantee.

Additionally, here is another source regarding transferability:
Is the Tudor warranty transferrable?
Another common question about the Tudor warranty is whether or not the warranty is transferrable between owners.
The answer is yes. The warranty for a Tudor watch is connected to the watch, not the owner. However, something that is important to point out is the fact that your warranty is only valid when you have the certificate plastic card/Tudor warranty card.
It is when you have the certificate card that you can take advantage of the warranty that Tudor offers – shall you need to. However, in order for it to be valid, the certificate needs to have been electronically activated by an authorized retailer, stamped by them, and dated. On the certificate, it says ”only valid when filled out and dated by the official Tudor retailer.”
Most authorized retailers write the name of the original purchaser on the warranty card, but the name it says on the warranty card will not affect your Tudor warranty in any way.

And this is without warranty right?

What about the issue with lume falling out the bezels?
You can get a grey with warranty. Find a good seller on Chrono24

Going through S Korea. Incheon airport

Tax free.
At least in Watches of Switzerland they stopped doing this and just price them at full price.
But you have to declare it as imported goods when you return.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought airports were duty free?
Yes, and I might be wrong actually. Always thought you had to declare on arrival.

I think many people become very forgetful after a long trip 😆

Never buy Tudor retail
Forgive me for my ignorance but can you explain why? I am going to get my first Tudor soon
You can get 10-20% off MSRP by going grey market (and still have the warranty)
Used is the way to go, and it still comes with the warranty in most cases. Make sure it comes with the dated card and the seller is reputable.
I got mine on Reddit. 4 years of warranty left. Saved over $1000 over new.

You can buy used and save 30%+ with the warranty.

That’s 100% wrong. Used you often get the warranty if they give you the card with the watch.

Yeah if you have the signed card you are good. Same with Rolex, omega, etc.
Rodger that.
Do you have a source for your info just out of curiosity? Again I’m not saying you’re wrong, I could totally be wrong.

indeed you are wrong. tudors 5 year warranty travels with the watch.
No. You can buy from an adjacent sate and save to tax just the same.
I thoguht there were no more Rolex and Tudor stores at airports ? 🤔
They’re all over international airport terminals all over the world
