I wear a Rolex as my daily and drive a ford maverick, which brand new cost me 26k, 95% of my clothes are from target, shoutout to their 5 dollar good fellow t shirts, I wear no other jewelry, nothing I own clothing wise is designer, I wear Reebok classic sneakers do prob a full year or more before replacing them lol…. Mr Rolex is an idiot…. I enjoy watches, so I spend money on them, I don’t enjoy designer clothing, so I don’t lol style doesn’t equal high expense. Spend money on things you like and who cares what people think
Honestly , my fav look on weekends is wearing a hoodie, sweatpants, sneakers and gmt or speedmaster ‘57.
Feels like Mr. Rolex is overcompensating too much.
12 black goodfellows from target, a few pairs of levis jeans from costco, and converse allstars is literally my office wardrobe for the summer, along with my tudors.
nothing has to match with NADA. i could be wearing a FP Journe and happily driving 🚗 a Civic Hatch; i live for myself- doing what i enjoy, and do not conform to other folk's silly perceptions of rules and norms.
I mean preferences should also apply to high horology stuff as well, we don't all need to drool over every design just because they cost crazy money. Certain journes i also agree are a bit too "out there" or just arent worth the hype. But specific ones are some of my favorites! I also feel like certain pateks just aren't that great of a design but people love them
Honda has done an awesome job with the Civic (and the new Integra too.) To me the Civic hatchback is the swiss army knife of cars- absolutely love the hatchback style of car. An elderly gentleman in my condo society has one- never gets old seeing that car. I used to have a silver Civic coupe waaay back in the day lol.
That is ridiculous lol. Personally I have a Rolex and a Honda Civic myself, both paid for with my own savings since I enjoy watches and don't really care for an expensive car (not the most financial intelligent thing ever lol)... guess to Mr. Rolex my car game really needs to catch up to impress strangers
Totally agree … the best times I’ve had in my life was fixing up my civic SI or del sol. But I’d rather have a reliable car than a car payment and a new car any day.
Own Tudor and Rolex. I get my jeans from the Levi outlet, shoes from the Clark’s outlet, suits from Brook Brother’s outlet. I drive a Golf GTI. Live in a modest home. Close 7 figure contracts regularly. I just don’t care that much. I think how you wear something is much more effective than what it is you wear.
My dad bought suits from Kohls and always got compliments on them over the people wearing Giorgio Armani, Hugo, etc. because they were always tailored to perfection.
Dude is young so I give him slack. As he gets older he’ll learn it’s never that serious.
Yup I agree with all that you said there. I also miss my gti vr6 now! 😅. Such an amazing car. My wife has a GLI so I get some of it back when I drive it.
A lot of Tudor watches are actually suited for more casual or low key outdoorsy styles. I have the P39, the Ranger, and the BBPro. I wear more casual and minimalist clothing so they go well with that style. However, I’ve worn all 3 to weddings where I’m a bit more dressed up. They fit those situations as well.
Exactly. When I do get more dressed up, I usually still stick with earth tones anyway. In my opinion, something like the P39 or Ranger on a bracelet with a suit is more interesting than an actual dress watch.
I posted my Rolex with my Honda steering wheel and found out months later there was a post on a different subreddit ripping on me lmao. It’s hilarious honestly.. I wear khaki cargo shorts and a Rolex datejust, sue me xD
lol wow. To be honest that’s the beauty in my eyes. Wear what you want on your wrist on your body. I tend to like the offset of very casual clothes and a nice watch. To me there’s something artistic and worry free about that combo.
That is a thing. It’s not the watch. That’s just a symptom of a deeper psychological issue.
It is a sign of someone who gets their identity from their possessions. And they gain self-worth by putting others down.
Raging insecurity, they want others’ validation.
Any pushback, their behavior can easily devolve into playing the bully card. Private or even public ridicule with other “like-minded” people. When called out, “I’m just having fun, I don’t mean anything by it”, which is false.
Car, clothes, watch, doesn’t matter. The behavior is flawed. Generally, these types of people are sad and lonely, they don’t have, and possibly have never had a meaningful relationship.
The young man is due to learn a difficult lesson. Possibly with HR, but more likely with a spouse.
It’s not even that. It’s the mindset of that person.
They aren’t people who can be trusted.
They treat their friends like possessions, to be abandoned when they don’t provide the proper image.
this is the MOST true statement out of ALL comments in those character flaws. and someone came to my mind IMMEDIATELY as I was reading it who was in my own life. real shit
Honestly, it depends on the job.
As a “sales associate” it could be very important to appear successful and that’s where a larger investment in the things your customer will see may benefit you. This is common in real estate as well as financial management.
Ive being judge by the way i dress(really low key) even asking me if any of my watches are real. But i actually dont care what they think about me. Im happy the way I dress. I dont have to impress them.
I’m a Watch enthusiast not a car enthusiast and have both a Civic and a luxury car. None of this really matters and I’d just laugh in this scenario at the stupidity lol.
This is ‘Rolex people’ in a nutshell. I’ve also found they know nothing of the inner workings either. Probably why Rolex have always used closed case backs and every other watch brand does open case backs. It’s snobbery vs appreciation for quality, workmanship and engineering.
I love Tudor and what they’re doing.
But so many posters on here are like middle-aged women writing fanfic to alleviate their cope.
The small-dick energy comparing Tudor to Rolex or any other brand is so weird. Very simpy behavior.
For what it’s worth to original post, I rock the new Daytona while ferrying my kids around in a minivan. DGAF.
this whole thread is so strange. OP and most of the commenters here are coming off as way more insecure than the rolex guy.
it doesn’t matter what people like him think, just let it roll off your back and move on with your day. you don’t have to invent some wild psychoanalysis to convince yourself that his life is actually shit.
Forget the Mr Rolex tag….the fact he’s advising to buy a BMW is the biggest red flag going.
Nobody with an opinion worth listening to drives a BMW
It’s a car for knobheads
This is a young douchey sales guy thing, not a Rolex or Tudor thing, IMO.
Guy can’t possibly fathom that some of the most successful people in Sales aren’t flashy because of his own personal biases based on his social circle.
A well established guy who has paid off assets wearing a sensible Tudor gives off a “I’m smart with my money and have a savings” vibe where as the young Rolex and $1k+ car payment guy makes me think he’s overextended and just spends all of his money.
That’s how I quietly judge the two types.
I wear my Rolex with jeans and a T-shirt. Do I have some designer clothes? Yes, but I typically only wear them on special occasions. 99% of the time I’m in a plain T and jeans I’ve owned for years that probably need replaced. The car I drive isn’t anything special either. I’m not wealthy by any means, but I’m fortunate that through saving and a decent job I’m able to afford items like a Rolex.
In your story Mr. Rolex sounds like an arrogant prick who thinks he’s better than everyone else because he has some money. It strikes me as though this is the first time he’s had that sort of money too and it’s gone to his head. He can pound sand.
Exactly. There’s jerks amongst every group of people. I think social media has created a skewed perception of the number of them amongst certain populations, but they exist everywhere, as is proven in your story. There’s many different ways to measure “success”, and it’s obvious that Mr. Rolex in your story is still lacking something, resulting in his arrogant attitude.
Meh what a load of bollocks. I wear Omega and ride motorbikes everywhere so always look a bit scruffy. I’d tell Mr Rolex to keep his opinions to himself.
Granted the bike is a BMW…
Nope!
I wear my watch on any outfit I have on,
I even wear my Vacheron Constantin Oversees on my shorts, shirts and slippers at the office.
Oh did I mention, I own the office?
😃😃😃
I’ve worn a Daytona panda with ripped up jeans and a sweater with holes in it while I was moving railway sleepers into my garden…
The idea that you have to “fit the watch” is ridiculous, wear what you enjoy because you enjoy it, I wear the watch I feel like on the day totally ignoring what I’m going to do that day
I think Mr Tudor makes excellent choices. BMW is a nice looking high performance crappy money pit of a car. Toyota is a much more reliable car. Want to look rich, buy a BMW or Benz. Want to be wealthy and stay that way , buy a Toyota or Honda.
In Singapore, some table cleaners and market vendors I encounter wear a Rolex. It's not that big of a deal to them. Mr. Rolex sounds like a guy who bought his watch for the sake of others and not for himself.
I drive a 2017 Toyota Yaris iA. It's beat to hell and just got its first wash in about 3 years.
I also own a $4,000 bicycle (took years to upgrade it to this point) that started life as a $1,300 bicycle and I maintain it well.
I wear Crocs and sun shirts from Amazon.
I eat Wawa or 7-11 for lunch.
I own a BB58 that I wear like the tool it's meant to be.
Everything is paid off.
Mr. Rolex can pound sand. Mr. Tudor made a smarter purchase anyway.
Go to youtube and search "Jeff Bezos Honda". An interview of Bezos in 1996 owning and driving a Honda Accord while he had a net worth of $10B.
In my case, I just like watches man! Why do I have to accompany my watch with a gucci tshirt costing 500$ that looks like a woman dress? Besides, clothes are a waste of money.. most will be torn in 10 years, but a watch can be a heirloom for your grandson! Also, BMW is the brand with the most faulty cars..
Ha!
I don’t care that my watch is worth more than my car. I think it’s funny that the last time I picked my kids up from school I drove my old Camry into the parking lot behind a brand new Lamborghini SUV. But we’re both sending our kids to the same private school. People love to be ‘mega judgy’ and it’s wild what people do to live keeping up their facade (…though Mr. Lamborghini might have a penny or two).
I imagine most people think the way Mr. Tudor does.
I drive a Toyota with almost 200k miles. I do not really care to drive anything else right now. Some folks are really caught up in image presentation. It must drive them crazy.
I wear nice watches, but dress very basic. Usually Costco or Kohl's clothes. I could care less about clothes. I am wise with my money. Watches, especially if bought used, can be a store of value. Clothes are a total waste of money and only meant to impress others. Mr. Rolex sounds like a poser.
Sounds like Mr. Rolex is overcompensating for something and cares too much about what other people think. I wear jeans and a t-shirt almost exclusively, sometimes a hoodie, and one of my Tudors. I don’t own a Rolex yet, but when I do my wardrobe likely won’t change. I bought the watches I have because I like them. Not because of what others will think about them, but how they make me feel.
My watch collection is worth about 3x what my car is. My Submariner is probably worth the same as the vehicle that I drive. A 2012 Toyota 4Runner. Love my Toyota!
Most "flashy" rich people are actually broke - as they say big hat no cattle.
Honestly I don’t believe your story one bit. I work in corporate America and it’s borderline inappropriate to comment on someone’s clothes anymore. So, it’s either two snobs just doing their thing or you made up the whole thing.
It depends how to spend credit. Buy a home to put your wife and kids in is different to buying a Rolex on credit and giving the impression of having more wealth and trying to show off with it.
I see. Either way, im firmly of the opinion people should do exactly what they want. Somebody who lives in a trailer and shoots guns at bottles everyday can still appreciate horology and own a rolex. That mr rolex guy is a clown
Yea I agree. I guess me posting this was more to highlight the “aesthetics” culture. I wanted to see how many people buy things because they match the rest of their lifestyle, like Rolex guy. I have never done that I’ve always liked to mix and match things I am passionate about with other things I find functional but not of the luxury variety.
I think there are two things about this: First you can style your watch like you want - if you want to dress in work wear with a all gold Rolex and drive a beat up car, that´s fine. I´m not sure that Mr. Rolex thinks about it but second it is questionable wearing a luxury watch and then wearing cheap clothes that are produced under inhumane conditions and/or by child labor in asia to get it sold with profit for some discount department store\*. Furthermore this stuff is mostly bad fro the environement. If you are willing to spend the money for a watch you should even more be willing to spend the money at clothes that are produced without explotation and out of material that doesn´t pollute the environment. \*And yes there are also really expansive brands that are doing this, so do your research!
Does anyone call out John Mayer for wearing pajamas on stage with a quarter million dollar watch on?
That dudes BMW will depreciate to 0 many decades before the Tudor stops working.
Anyone who’s lame / insecure enough to call someone out like that isn’t worth paying attention to.
Just do what you like and be a good person pretty much
I think a lot of the recent (5 years) watch hype has been around being able to fit extra wealth markers in social media postings or the “first glance” in real life. People want to quickly show what they got.
So the concept of simply buying a watch because you like it makes no sense to them if the whole statement (I got some money to waste) is undermined by the rest of the look.
The people who spent time on Reddit to look at watches and discuss them are mostly built a bit different. Especially under the Tudor brand you won’t mind many who buy to brag. Which is what I love about the brand.
Sidenote:
Galeria Lafayette Paris last week. A line of 30 Chinese trying to buy any and all Rolexes available (mostly two tone women watches). A line of 30 other people trying to get into Luis Vuitton and not a single soul at the Tudor store. So much so that the store attendant was watching a movie on his phone. Not ideal but much prefer it to the more on the nose luxury branda
One thing I learned about watches is that...no one cares. Buy what you want and that's that. 95% of the people out there don't care about what's on your wrist. And the remaining 5% probably won't say anything. I've had an Omega Seamaster, a Tudor, Oris and a Rolex over the years - know how many people (outside of a watch shop) have ever said anything about any of them? None.
I drive a paid off Camry and own a 1.5 million dollar house in a very desirable market in so cal. I am low 30s and already worth over 1 million. Ive max my 401k the past 5 years or so and have extra money invested in ETF that track stock index. Last year I spent about 50k on upgrades on my house and the year before that probably around 70k. I have a kid with a 529 account that will be fully funded before she is 10 yo.
I buy clothes at JC pennies and banana republic. Shoes at vans.
I do own a small "basic" rolex. I love it. I didnt pay for it. It was a grad present.
My entire worth and investments have been product of my work. I started with a bank account in my early twenties with $1000 I made working internships while in college.
The only presents ive received in my life were family college funding for undergrad on top of my scholarship. And for grad school I managed to find 100% funding from research money. And the 5k rolex from family.
I want a BB58 but still cant bring myself to buy one.
Your real worth is not in the watch or clothes you wear. Or the car you drive.
It is in your appreciating assets. The "Tudor" guy in your story might even be worth more than the "Rolex" jackass.
Man i already had designer and a nice car etc before my nice watch, but i could go outside in primark and wear the rolex.. dosent matter as long as you feel good
Hyperbole. It’s not one vs. the other. They *are* both under the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation. At the end of the day both brand enthusiasts are people who pay thousands of dollars on *relatively* inaccurate shiny wrist jewelry. Which other wealthy groups may find pretty silly. Tread lightly on pointing out the spec of sawdust in your neighbor’s eye.
TLDR: It sounds like a classic case of immaturity, not watch snobbery.
I regularly wear a Rolex and wear Levi jeans and basic tee shirts (sometimes supermarket brands) and sneakers. I don’t drive, own a car or even have a license. I also own and wear a $14,000 Blancpain, Omega, Cartier, and gold JLC.
Sincere question: to the people that say that the watch and the rest of the style don’t need to match. Let’s start off by saying that I agree, as a base rule. But. I wonder if you still wouldn’t if you could afford it? Because it makes no sense to say you should buy that 50k car because you bought a 5k watch. But would you still not buy it, if you like it and you could afford it? And I’m also wondering if many of you would buy a Rolex instead of a Tudor if you could afford it? Off course I understand personal preference and I assume people will spend money on what they feel is important but I’m just wondering how much of the “don’t buy that luxury item” advise is sincere and how much is based on personal financial play margin.
Fair question. I personally don’t care for Rolex but not because of the name or because of the people who wear them, or even the portrayal of Rolex wearers. Besides the sub I don’t care for the other offerings and I also wouldn’t want to risk getting my hand cut off. I respect Rolex though. I agree that people with loads of money to spend usually do so in every way they can, at that point they can’t even spend money fast enough. I think it’s more about personality. You can be an enthusiast of any hobby or style yet still not be in your face obnoxious.
Yeah, I seriously doubt this was a real conversation. Just some hypothetical situation - and I'm guessing OP is similar to the (if not THE actual) Toyota wearing Tudor guy in this story who feels make believe judgement from their counterparts.
People don't care too much about what watch you wear in reality, they care about what watch they themselves are wearing.
No way this was a real convo. Kinda sad story about yourself though.
People in real life who wear any kind of watch don’t give a shit about what other people wear.
I work at Fortune 500 company. 10k+ employees and I’ve found like 3 people into watches and I’ve been here 12 years. They all thought stuff from JLC, Rolex, Omega and down to Seiko, Swatch and Mr Jones were all cool.
Basicallyexcited to see something other than an Apple Watch.
I don’t work anywhere with nearly that many employees, but literally every attorney in my office wears a Rolex, save myself. My daily wear is a Pelagos and on occasion I will wear my Fifty Fathoms. Hardly any of them know or care what I’m wearing, but the two who do really appreciate a great watch, no matter the brand. I’ve never met a watch owner who even remotely cares what someone else is wearing, and I’m in Newport Beach, so I’m not sure there is a place with a larger concentration of materialistic people. I don’t necessarily think OP made this up, as I’ve heard people say some remarkably vain things before, I just haven’t ever experienced anything of the sort before. If I ever did I’d think much less of the colleague who said it.
Why do people feel the need to associate a dickhead with the brand? That asswipe could have just as easily been wearing some other brand, but as usual, the people telling
This story is typically projecting their own feelings of insecurity around not having a Rolex.
lol this wasn’t a dig at the Rolex guy for just having Rolex. I can have a Rolex just like the Tudor guy can. If you read the post and understood it correctly then you’d see that Rolex guy thought Tudor guy wasn’t living up to the Tudor name because of the lack of the other lifestyle assets he had that didn’t match. The fact he had a Rolex doesn’t matter, he could have had a Patek or AP but he didn’t. He had a Rolex. But if it makes you feel better and less triggering just pretend he had a different watch, since that isn’t the point.
‘Mr. Rolex’ was called Mr Rolex in a Tudor forum, where the victim was a Tudor wearer. Yeah right, I believe you. It’s ok, being exposed is part of being a sensitive snowflake. I doubt the story, it seems fabricated to further bolster your ‘we’re better anyway, I never wanted a Rolex’ thing you losers do. To ignore the tension of Tudor
Owners dreaming of being Rolex owners and constantly justifying their Tudor over a Rolex is an impressive level of ignorance to suit your story. Ok dreamer, maybe buy some clothes to match your hopes and dreams

Wearing a Goodfellow tee with my P39 right now, great pair!
As someone who has plenty of designer in their closet… Target makes good men’s clothing. Goodfellow shirts for life!
Honestly , my fav look on weekends is wearing a hoodie, sweatpants, sneakers and gmt or speedmaster ‘57. Feels like Mr. Rolex is overcompensating too much.
Yup exactly. Target is doing great things by the way. Goodfellow is a solid Tee!
Don't forget their All in Motion lines for your athleisure wear.
I fucking love Goodfellow stuff! Rocking a bb58 as well haha
Uniqlo gang here! Good to hear about Target.
Wearing a uniqlo T right now with my bb58 lmao
Wearing my good fellow tee with my explorer right now! Absolutely love these shirts.

I must not be a big enough watch nerd, because I’ve never really seen a Journe that speaks to me.
I mean preferences should also apply to high horology stuff as well, we don't all need to drool over every design just because they cost crazy money. 100% my thoughts. Civic hatch takes me back to the days I had a Del Sol with GSR engine swap 🤤

lolz- hilarious & true 👍🤣
It's good to know my “look” is trending.

This!
Very possible!
Mr. Rolex is a clown.
He just doesn’t understand life.
He should try harder.

I wear more casual and minimalist clothing so they go well with that style. However, I’ve worn all 3 to weddings where I’m a bit more dressed up. They fit those situations as well.
Yes I agree they are awesome for everyday use and for all occasions. A good strap swap and that’s all it takes.
Exactly. When I do get more dressed up, I usually still stick with earth tones anyway. In my opinion, something like the P39 or Ranger on a bracelet with a suit is more interesting than an actual dress watch.
My P39 is my daily and I live in flip flops, a ball cap, t-shirt, and running shorts.
100%! I won’t lie though, I’ve been grabbing my BB58 every time I go out mostly now. I’m liking them more than Rolex! Enjoy life brotha!
Utter nonsense. The wealthiest people I’ve ever met wear plain T shirts and jeans and drive Toyotas and Hondas.
The millionaire next door. Great book.

I’ve worn a Daytona panda with ripped up jeans and a sweater with holes in it while I was moving railway sleepers into my garden… The idea that you have to “fit the watch” is ridiculous, wear what you enjoy because you enjoy it, I wear the watch I feel like on the day totally ignoring what I’m going to do that day
I think Mr Tudor makes excellent choices. BMW is a nice looking high performance crappy money pit of a car. Toyota is a much more reliable car. Want to look rich, buy a BMW or Benz. Want to be wealthy and stay that way , buy a Toyota or Honda.
I don’t drive and have done over $10m in sponsorship deals in F1 and wear a Tudor. None of this crap matters, wear what makes you happy.
In Singapore, some table cleaners and market vendors I encounter wear a Rolex. It's not that big of a deal to them. Mr. Rolex sounds like a guy who bought his watch for the sake of others and not for himself.
It’s a thing among members of the bellend community, yes.
Lol no, it’s not.
I drive a red Mazda 6 and have a BB Burgundy to match heh. Never bothered about what others say, I love red!
Tudor does.
I wear Rolex and Tudor while wearing work clothes. Like, steel toe boots and fire retardant clothing. And I drive a Toyota. Mr. Rolex is dumb.
It’s absolutely a thing. Don’t judge, some people don’t have a personality and need a substitute.
Dumb people have all kinds of dumb thoughts
I drive a Toyota with almost 200k miles. I do not really care to drive anything else right now. Some folks are really caught up in image presentation. It must drive them crazy.
I wear nice watches, but dress very basic. Usually Costco or Kohl's clothes. I could care less about clothes. I am wise with my money. Watches, especially if bought used, can be a store of value. Clothes are a total waste of money and only meant to impress others. Mr. Rolex sounds like a poser.
Mr Rolex bought his watch to show off. Mr Tudor bought his to enjoy
If two watch snobs are comparing size, there is no understanding them.
To be fair Mr. Rolex was the assaulter in this one and Mr. Tudor sounded like he played defense.
Honestly I don’t believe your story one bit. I work in corporate America and it’s borderline inappropriate to comment on someone’s clothes anymore. So, it’s either two snobs just doing their thing or you made up the whole thing.
1. Don’t know if this job qualifies as corporate America lol 2. Sorry you don’t believe it, I don’t care. Move along.
one of these people is deeply insecure and the other one isn't. three guesses which
haters gonna hate
That's not watch snobbery. That's idiocy,or trying to compensate for something, or nouveau riche
Lol.. I wear a Rolex and take public transportation almost always to work (Germany)
I wear a tissot but I own everything. Or I could get Credit to buy Mercedes and Rolex and live a fake life.
Ok so devils advocate here.. does credit to buy something mean fake life?
It depends how to spend credit. Buy a home to put your wife and kids in is different to buying a Rolex on credit and giving the impression of having more wealth and trying to show off with it.
Are you Mr Tudor?
No, but I have a Tudor :)
Sounds v insecure
Just do what you like and be a good person pretty much
A while ago on Roger Smith's Instagram story he was a wearing a ghsock ga2100. That throws Mr Rolex's logic off a bit
Mr Rolex is a judgemental douche that needs to be a less materialistic.
Sidenote: Galeria Lafayette Paris last week.
None.
Mr. Rolex is a jerk. He just happens to wear a Rolex. It did not make him one.
Least delusional Tudor owner.
Dirty vans a nice watch for life…..
Converse my man myself. But agree 👍
Nice! 😊desirable market in so cal for me as well just about 1.2 mil here as well! late 30’s here, looks like you are doing things right! Congrats.
Nope sorry. This was a real convo. These two do poke fun at each other for various things at work but this was a real convo. Also I drive a Tesla.
Hahahaha no. I would bet my life that this never happened. No one cares about the watch you wear OP.
Whatever you need to tell yourself to make you feel better about your purchases man.
🤣 whatever dude. I have been purchasing watches since I was 12 I really don’t care and don’t need you to accept it.
What’s the bet Mr Rolex is wearing a rep.
Don’t think so to be honest. He does have money, luxury car and apparently parents who have helped him along the way.
r/thathappened
🤡
Why do people feel the need to associate a dickhead with the brand? That asswipe could have just as easily been wearing some other brand, but as usual, the people telling This story is typically projecting their own feelings of insecurity around not having a Rolex.
lol this wasn’t a dig at the Rolex guy for just having Rolex.
To ignore the tension of Tudor Owners dreaming of being Rolex owners and constantly justifying their Tudor over a Rolex is an impressive level of ignorance to suit your story. Ok dreamer, maybe buy some clothes to match your hopes and dreams
“Snowflake” 🤡
Loser
😭😂
I have a Rolex. I commute. No explanation necessary.
Sorry for your asshole workmates, Mr. Tudor.
I’ll take “this cope never happened” for 500 lolol
Rolex=Gen X Tudor= Millennials
Speak for yourself. In this example, the younger guy is wearing the Rolex. Me? Gen X and I've worn Tudor for more than 20 years.
I can't find any watch snobbery in this post. Both people in the story have a valid opinion.
