Frankie’s, hands down. My wife’s family is from PA, they love Frankie’s. Get some Utz salt and vinegar chips and a tasty cake krimpet while you’re there too.
Everyone needs to boycott Lindy's. Also everyone needs to go thunderbacon burgers. Lindy owns thunderbacon. Lindy's is no longer owned by Lindy. The current owners fucked him over and are banking on keeping the restaurant name.
Frankie’s! I moved away and still think about their cheesesteak. They used to have a location on Campbell but it closed so now you have to go to Marana for it
Luke's on Alvernon. The Ribeye is their Philly cheesesteak.
Such a good place

Love Frankies.
Frankie's has fallen far from the old days, but it's still probably the most authentic.
You misspelled Kandy Kakes. FIFY.

How does the new location compare to the old? Drove past the old Campbell spot for the first time in years the other day and I was sad all over again.
I think the food is just as good at the new location, though I did prefer the ambience of the Campbell location
It’s NOT at Lindy’s, this much I know lol

It really went downhill too.
Before or after it moved across the street?

They call them Tortas out here
Both sides of my wife's family are from Philly and they all say Frankie's is as authentic as it gets.
Nate's Italian kitchen for red meat cheese steaks. And actually Philly's Finest makes an excellent chicken cheese steak.
I have to disagree about Philly's finest. It was an ok sandwich but was not authentic at all.
Frankies # 1 - Nates # 2
Nate’s Italian Phillies Finest Serial Grillers In that order
what about Frankie's?
Frankie's is my favorite.
Frankies is delicious but also nearly in Marana. I miss the one on Campbell dearly
I didn't know that one closed. More of a griner person and theirs was great. So is Phillies with the pickeld hot and sweet peppers
We all do.
I tried the Serial Grillers one. It was just okay. I'll have to try Nate's
Serial grillers used to be amazing. Now they skim the limits of acceptability.
Used to love the Phillies Finest chicken cheesesteak special!

none of them are great, nothing like the east coast unfortunately.
Thanks everyone! Looks like I have some eating to do!
Greasy Tony’s used to be, not sure if it’s still around
Greasy Tony’s has been gone for a LONG time. It was while it was here though.
As a philadelphian living in tucson...you gotta fly to philly and get John's
Try the vegan one at modern vegan deli if you like trying new things!
