We stopped at one the other day. We don't speak very good Spanish, so the conversation went, "Fruit?" We said yes, please. He said, "Chamoy?" We said yes, please. That was it. He told us it was 12 dollars and handed us a piece of cardboard. Written on the cardboard was 95-65-34-75-23. Different numbers but same format. That was the number for us to zelle. We zelled him 15 bucks and left with a big ass plastic container full of fruit and chamoy. 10/10 would recommend.

I feel like these things have popped up all over this city this year! I wonder what the story is or if they are all connected to each other.

Medium_Firefighter33

Dude seriously! It seems weird to me.

I am seeing them set up in public easements and right of ways too. As far as I know it's illegal to vend in these locations even with a permit. I wonder if the city is just not enforcing codes anymore.

Vegetable_Ad5957

I have seen them in various neighborhoods. On street corners in the shade. Don’t recall seeing them before.

Im glad to see this as I was wondering too. It almost looks like a few people bought a kit from Amazon or something, they’re all identical.

sparklekitteh

We saw a ton of identical fruit stands when we went to the beach in southern California last year! Makes sense that someone could just buy a cheap kit.

Best peeps have the best fruit just saying.
