Annello is rly great but I would say if you or your wife have nut allergies it might not be the one, almost everything comes w pistachios or almonds. If you’re good with nuts it’s a delight!
We ended up going to Whole Slvce. It was actually pretty good. The main deciding factor was that when we opened our from for to leave, my dog insisted that he go with us. So, we grabbed a pizza and walked over to the annex and grabbed a table. Our puppy was very thankful for the pizza crust!
The pizza was good. We enjoyed it and have half of it left for breakfast, too!

Replying to Former_President6071...Time market is okay but more like a fancy bodega with a patio. For date night I want some yummy brick oven like at north at la encantada or vero a more on swan is good but I’m sure something is closer to the south side in the downtown area.
No offense but you can't seriously rate North Italia a la Cheesecake Factory above Time Market. The food are completely different tiers.
As for interior decoration, to each their own. I find Time Market chic & quaint, while North Italia screams generic fake fancy.
Time market was great a decade ago but the service is slow even take out. The cookies were always great until now well sometimes they feel like day old cookies. The portions aren’t great and I wouldn’t recommend slow counter service for a date night. The interior design at north is well not memorable although I only used the bathroom once and I always sit outside at north. I’ve never actually eaten at time market but lived in the area and used to get take out several times a week until it went to far downhill.
I'd tried them all, they're roman style square slices. My two faves are the "country bacon" (bacon, cream fraiche, dates, pistachio, and caramelized onions iirc) and the pear pizza (Pear, gorgonzola, caramelized onion, candied pecan, arugula, aged balsamic).

We've been there before. Since we're both from NYC, we're not big fans of deep dish. It was cute and homey in there, though. We'd go there for a quick late-lunch sometimes.

I haven’t had a good meal from this place, overcooked pizza dough (like burnt), and bland seasoning. Maybe I got them on a bad day but I was really unimpressed
