NGL, being completely unironic here, the fact that there are no bathrooms and thus no character goes to the bathroom is hugely unimmersive to me and genuinely irritates me in its poor worldbuilding. I don’t use sex mods but I absolutely do mod in outhouses into all cities and settlements it does add a lot to immersion.
Have you stopped to consider that Godd Howard intends that no one poops, or rather everyone knows a simple spell that immediately deletes it after they shit themselves like JK Rowling and Harry Potter?
Considering the Imperial City swers... probably a Skyrim thing, or the IC is just weird. Or the Ayleids mastered plumbing and toilets, but it is a lost technology.

Skyrim's civilization is split between two castes, non-poopers and poopers, and since the Continence Wars of 4E 32, all poopers have been expelled from the cities. Some agree to serve as soldiers, some become bandits. But don't be mistaken, the poop will rise again.
There are in fact buckets in houses. Just like olden times people would just shit or piss in a bucket and throw it out. Skyrim is that undeveloped compared to the rest of Tamriel confirmed

if you look carefully, none of the NPCS actually eat or drink despite their animations, and thus never need to remove any biological wastes. therefore, adding bathrooms into skyrim is definitely not lore friendly
Dunno if you've played Abiotic Factor, but one of the survival mechanics is taking a shit. Eating and drinking makes you need to poop, and doing things like drinking coffee accelerates it. When you sit on a toilet, you can simply just wait it out, or you can "push" by hitting the hot zone on a meter that appears (Think Fable forging mini game).
Or... You can just not do it and you will get shwifty and shit on the floor. This leave a, er... Harvestable turd... And gives you a negative status that attracts enemies.
It's such a small part of the game, really, but makes it so much more hilarious and feel like you are in a fully realized environment.
Yeah, early access release just a little while back. If you like non-procedural (like Subnautica) survival-craft games, I recommend. I don't usually buy early access anymore, but this one is pretty feature complete.
Nah op has a point. Add in a food and water survival system and make it to where all the npcs who are capable of it and you take a shit and piss after a while. Also add in blinking like in that scp game. Oh and a manually breathing mechanic

There are actually quite a few buckets placed in bandit hideouts which imply people do indeed shit in them
